Hollywood execs stand with NETFLIX over BDS attack on Israeli TV series

Having received multiple threats by the anti-Israel group BDS, 50 Hollywood executives pen letter of support, “We stand behind… Netflix in the face of this blatant attempt at artistic censorship.”

LOS ANGELES – More than 50 Hollywood executives have thrown their support behind Netflix, which is facing a campaign by a Palestinian-led movement to drop Israeli television series “Fauda” from its streaming platform.

In a letter on Tuesday to Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos, the executives from record labels and Hollywood talent agencies called the move by the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement a “blatant attempt at artistic censorship.” Continue Reading »

Gal Gadot shared a taste of home with TV host Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Thursday — when she and Fallon sampled Israeli chocolate together.

Discussing the upcoming Halloween holiday, the pair were discussing their favorite candies, and Fallon whipped out what Gadot said was her No. 1 choice.

Comedian and television host Conan O’Brien announced on his show that he will be visiting Israel in September to film a special episode of his travel series Conan without Borders. The announcement was complete with Israeli flag graphics and Hebrew text.

“Due to all the division, strife, intractable hatred and violence in our country right now I have decided to leave America for the relative peace and quiet of the Middle East. That’s right people, I am going to Israel!” He said.

He continued: “I may be in Israel the same week as President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who’s been sent there to broker a Middle East solution.

Atamna-Ismaeel, 32,,  from the Israeli Arab town Baqa al-Gharbiyyewho cooks Arab food with a modern twist. She has a PhD in microbiolog and is  married with three kids.

Upon winning, Atamna-Ismaeel said it was “the most exciting moment in her life,” and said she plans on using the prize money to open an Arab-Jewish cooking school.

TV series ‘Homeland’ stops filming in Israel, cites Syrian unrest

‘Homeland’ filming locations were switched to Morocco due to concerns over the uncertain situation in Syria.

The filming was switched to Morocco due to concerns over the uncertain situation in Syria, according to Ynet. The show’s producers in Israel were told of the decision over the weekend, the news site reported, citing an unnamed source.
