UN chief says Jordan Valley land reclassification is impediment to 2-state solution

 

In a sharply worded statement UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s spokesman remarked on Tuesday that Israel’s reclassification was “an impediment to the 2-state solution.

 

The United Nations called on Israel to rescind its reclassification as state land of 2,342 dunams (578 acres) in the Jordan Valley near the Palestinian city of Jericho.

Palestinian Elders Trying to Counter Abbas’ Incitement By Stopping Kids From Attacking Jews

 

It is clear that a majority of average Palestinians just want to live a normal life, as the village elders & parents have been observed taking action to keep the younger generation from taking part in violence.

Researchers from Tel Aviv University say the smart tissue will be aware of the heart beat and intervene when it’s not functioning properly, providing regular reports to the patient & cardiologist.

In a significant breakthrough, researchers from Tel Aviv University say they have engineered a bionic heart.

The heart, comprised of smart tissue transplanted into patients, will be able to monitor and regulate tissue function. Jordanian parliament interdicts Israelis from acquiring real estate in Petra

 

The new legislation differentiates between Israelis and all other foreign investor, forbidding only Israelis from buying or renting real estate anywhere in the Petra region.

The Jordanian parliament passed a law prohibiting the sale and rent of real estate in the ancient city of Petra to Israeli citizens, following increasing reports of Israelis buying land in the city, the Jordanian daily al-Rai reported Tuesday.

The law differentiates between Israeli and other foreign investors, banning Israelis from renting or buying real estate in the entire Petra region, while allowing others to invest in land located outside Petra Archeological Park. Continue Reading »

Hezbollah’s TV reports of another Israeli spying device on the border

 

Hezbollah’s TV channel reports finding a spy device with photographic and transmission capabilities near the border, not far from a Lebanese airstrip & army post in the village of Markaba.

Hezbollah’s al-Manar TV station reported on Tuesday that a transmission and photographic spy device was discovered on the Israel-Lebanon border, which the station said belonged to Israel.

According to the report, the device was found near the Blue Line and not far from a Lebanese army post and airstrip in the village of Markaba.

Report: Israel Has Clandestine ‘Underground Iron Dome’ That Locates & Collapses Hamas’ Tunnels

 

Being developed by Israel’s Elbit, Rafael & the US Gov’t to the tune of $40 million, al Jazeera reported on a new Israeli system, the “underground Iron dome” which utilizes new technology that brought over half a dozen Gaza tunnel collapses since January.

Arab news channel al Jazeera this week aired a story about the Israeli system it dubbed “underground Iron dome” which utilizes new technology to bring about the string of Gaza tunnel collapses of the past few months. But other than to apply the clever name to it, and to suggest it utilizes “advanced technology,” the report only said that the project is being developed by Elbit, Rafael and the US Government to the tune of $40 million, which is expected to grow to $120 million over the next two years. An experimental blood test may one day be able to detect a range of diseases including cancer and multiple sclerosis, based on signatures of DNA from dying cells, researchers said Monday.

Gaza rocket hits Southern Israel – IDF Response Likely Upcoming

 

IDF reports no physical injuries or damages from Gaza rocket that exploded in an open area in the Shaar Hanegev region.

A rocket fired by Gaza terrorists shortly after midnight on Monday night exploded in an open area in the Shaar Hanegev region of southern Israel.

There were no physical injuries or damages.

On Friday night, four rockets from Gaza hit open areas in the city of Sderot. In this incident, as well, there were no physical injuries or damages.

The Israeli Air Force retaliated for Friday’s attack by striking four targets inside Gaza on Saturday.

Israel offers Palestinians full security control over Area A of the West Bank

Secret negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority have taken place in the last few weeks addressing the return of full Palestinian security control over cities in Area A of the West Bank, Haaretz reports.

Israel’s Attorney General suggests relocating terrorists’ families within Judea & Samaria, arguing that expulsions to Syria or Gaza, proposed by Transportation Minister Israel Katz, violate int’l law and may expose Israel to charges at the ICC.

An Israeli hiker on a trip in the eastern Galilee region found a rare gold coin minted in Rome nearly 2,000 years ago, the Israel Antiquities Authority announced Monday.

Lori Rimon, a member of the nearby Kibbutz Kfar Bloom, was with a group of seasoned hikers when she discovered the shiny object on the ground.
