French Official: Peace initiative to move forward by year’s end

France’s special envoy for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process says his country’s initiative will test Israel’s resolve to reach a solution.

Pierre Vimont, France’s special envoy for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, said at a conference in Tel Aviv on Sunday that it was his government’s intention to move forward on the French peace initiative by the end of this year.

The conference was held by the Macro Center for Political Economics and the Institute for National Security Studies. Vimont said that the current status quo was distancing the two-state solution and necessitating intervention: “We want to revive the two-state solution in this window of opportunity and return it to the international agenda.” Continue Reading »

Palestinian Authority media reports that just as Israel assassinate Arafat, it is now plotting to eliminated his successor, Mahmoud Abbas.

Israeli is planning to “eliminate Abbas politically and physically” as it did to Yasser Arafat – according to the newest Palestinian Authority libel against Israel. So reports Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), which monitors anti-Israel incitement in PA media reports and official statements.

Palestinians now seek ownership of Dead Sea Scrolls via UNESCO

 

After repeated successful Palestinian inspired resolutions at UNESCO that ignored Jewish ties to the Temple Mount, Western Wall and Jerusalem, the Palestinian are now going after the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The Palestinian Authority is preparing to lay a claim to the Dead Sea Scrolls at the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization, Israel Radio reported on Saturday night.

REPORT: Russian PM declares support of Jewish connection to Jerusalem

In a TV2 report, Russian PM Medvedev says, “Our country never denied Israel’s or the Jewish people’s rights to Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.”

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev spoke with Channel 2 about the Israel-Russia relationship.

During the interview Medvedev was asked about UNESCO’s decision to deny history and claim Israel has no connection to the Western Wall and other holy places in Jerusalem.

Palestinian terrorist shot dead during his attempted stabbing attack on IDF soldiers

 

A Palestinian Arab terrorist, armed with a knife in hand, was neutralized by IDF soldiers while attempting to stab Jews at a bus-stop north of Jerusalem.

An Arab terrorist armed with a knife attempted to stab Jews at a popular hitchhiking spot outside of a Jewish community north of Jerusalem Thursday afternoon.

The terrorist targeted Israeli security forces stationed at the Ofra junction in Samaria, but was shot and neutralized before he was able to reach his intended victims.

U.S. State Department condemns new home construction in Jerusalem

 

State Department reiterated condescendingly saying White House is strongly opposed to “settlement activity,” in response to Israel’s approval of new home construction in Jerusalem’s Gilo neighborhood.

The State Department on Wednesday issued a scathing condemnation of Israel after it issued building permits for 181 new homes in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo, located in the southern part of the city.

Jerusalem spokeswoman Brachie Sprung said plans in Gilo were first approved in 2012 and that Wednesday’s approvals were for “technical details of plot distribution,” reported The Associated Press.
