NEW YORK – Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee nominated the Jewish philanthropist Yank Barry on Wednesday for the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize for his work in providing refuge to Syrian refugees in Bulgaria who escaped their war-torn country.

Jackson issued a statement saying that Barry “singlehandedly spearheaded a never before accomplished mission to rescue over 60 individuals from the deplorable conditions in the refugee camps of Bulgaria.

Hamas arrests 13 and attacked scores at Pro-Abbas demonstration in Gaza

Beyonce is coming to Israel with debut show on June 15

Israeli fans have long awaited for a performance by Beyonce since 2010, but the arrival of the pop superstar turned out to be untrue.

 

Beyonce is set to arrive in Israel for her debut performance in the country on June 15, Channel 2 reported.

Park Hayarkon in Tel Aviv is the likely venue for the pop superstar and it has been reserved for the date of her arrival, but as of yet no location has been officially announced.

Three Israeli production companies are bidding to put on the show.

Israel last braced for a performance by Beyonce in 2010, but reports of her arrival turned out to be untrue.

IDF Opens Fire on Terror Suspects On Lebanese Border with Israel

IDF soldiers fired at suspected terrorists who approached the Israeli-Lebanese border on Saturday.

“A certain number of suspects approached the Israel-Lebanon border. Soldiers fired in the air to warn them away, and they moved off,” reported an IDF spokeswoman, adding that no one was injured in the exchange.

A local Arab resident claimed to AFP that the suspects who approached the fence were shepherds who neared the border “by mistake.”
