U.S. President Barack Obama said at the Saban Forum on Saturday that there must not be another Gaza in the Palestinian Authority-assigned areas of Judea and Samaria.

Investigation: Report received of Palestinian youth shot dead by IDF

IDF investigating report received of shooting near Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah.

IDF source said the preliminary report of the incident “still sketchy”.

 

 

The IDF shot and killed Wajih Ramahi, 15, from the Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah on Saturday evening, according to B’Tselem.

The U.S. Air Force developed its new batwing shaped stealth drone at the infamous Area 51, capable of covert electronic attack missions, as well as maintaining reconnaissance of enemy territory.

The US Air Force has secretly developed a new stealth drone for long-range reconnaissance missions that could be operational by 2015, according to a report Friday in an industry magazine.

Hamas Fired 2 Rockets Into Israel from Gaza on Saterday

In recent weeks, Hamas has threatened genocide against Israel and claimed their missiles are now capable of reaching Tel Aviv.

Two Kassam rockets were fired into Israel Saturday from Gaza, Channel 10 reports. The rockets landed in an uninhabited areas; no injuries were reported.

Last Night’s Golan Explosion Was Bomb Targeting IDF Patrol

 

Friday night’s powerful explosion was confirmed Saturday as a bomb on Syria’s border targeting an IDF patrol. No injuries reported, just minor damage to patrol vehicle.

The IDF said Saturday that a blast the previous evening on the Golan Heights was from a bomb detonated as patrolling troops passed by, but that there were no casualties.

An investigation of the incident, which took place near the Syrian border, concluded that “the explosion was caused by a concealed explosive device operated against Israeli soldiers,” a statement said.

No casualties were reported from the explosion, but a military vehicle suffered some minor damage. Continue Reading »

A 21-year-old Nazareth man is suspected in the attack of the son of a Greek Orthodox priest who supports enlistment of Christian youth in the IDF.

The attack occurred in Nazareth last night where the priest’s 17 year-old son was allegedly attacked by the suspect with a rod, according to Channel Two.

Berlin agreed to sell 2 naval destroyers to Israel

 

German newspaper Bild reports Merkel’s gov’t grants Israeli request, will sell 2 advanced destroyers for protecting Israeli gas fields at sea, for sum of  €1 billion.

Earlier this year, a significant deal between Germany and the Israeli security establishment was completed, as the Germans handed a fifth Dolphin-class submarine to Israel. The handover was marked in an official ceremony in Germany’s city of Kiel.Germany will sell two destroyers to Israel for one billion euros ($1.3 billion), the Bild daily reported Saturday.

Arafat’s Widow to Contest French Report on His Death

The widow of former Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat pledged on Friday to challenge a French inquiry which found his death to have been from natural causes, reports AFP.

“A request for further expert opinion will be submitted in the next few days to investigating judges in (the Paris suburb of) Nanterre,” Suha Arafat’s French lawyer Pierre-Olivier Sur told the news agency.

Suha Arafat lodged a murder complaint in Nanterre in July last year, after an Al-Jazeera television documentary linked Arafat’s 2004 death at a military hospital near Paris to polonium poisoning. Continue Reading »

Huge Explosion Heard in Northern Golan Heights

Explosion felt near IDF vehicle on patrol on the Golan Heights near the Syrian border caused no injuries but did do minor damage. IDF investigating but waiting for first light to examine area.

A powerful explosion was heard on Friday evening in the Golan Heights, near an IDF vehicle that was on routine patrol along the Syrian-Israeli border, near the slopes of Mount Hermon.

No one was injured as a result of the explosion, but damage was caused to the rear window of the military vehicle.

TORONTO — Canada’s largest Protestant church launched a campaign to boycott goods made in the West Bank.

The United Church of Canada campaign, dubbed “Unsettling Goods: Choose Peace in Palestine and Israel,” encourages “economic action” against three Israeli companies: Keter Plastic Ltd., SodaStream and Ahava, which all have factories in the West Bank.

“With these efforts, we join with many others striving to bring peace with justice to the Holy Land,” the church’s moderator, Gary Paterson, wrote in a November letter to church members announcing the launch of the campaign.
