PLO condemns Brazilian President-elect over embassy relocation to Jerusalem

Senior PLO official Hanan Ashrawi warns Brazilian President-elect Jair Bolsonaro over his vow to maintain his campaign-promise to relocate Brazil’s embassy to Jerusalem as, “provocative and illegal.”

Senior Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) official Hanan Ashrawi on Friday condemned Brazilian President-elect Jair Bolsonaro’s announcement that he would move his country’s Israel embassy to Jerusalem.

“These are provocative and illegal steps that will only destabilize security and stability in the region,” Ashrawi, a member of the PLO executive committee, told AFP.

“It is very unfortunate that Brazil has joined this negative alliance against international law,” she said, referring to a small number of countries supporting the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and move its embassy there. Continue Reading »

Bon Jovi will perform in Israel next summer, Haaretz reported on Tuesday.

The planned date for the performance, July 25, 2019, was revealed by accident in a newsletter the American rock band sent to fans. It will take place at the Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv, according to the report.

Israeli intelligence services aided Denmark in foiling a recent assassination attempt by Iranian agents, Israeli media outlets reported Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Denmark announced that it had recalled its ambassador to Iran, after it accused Tehran of plotting to assassinate three Iranian nationals residing in Denmark, AFP reported.

Mobileye, Volkswagen, Champion Motors launch driverless taxi service in Israel

Israel’s Mobileye, Volkswagen and Champion Motors unite to launch a joint venture of self-driving taxis next year in Israel, beginning with several dozen, then expanding with hundreds of self-driving electric vehicles.

The Volkswagen Group together with Israel-based Mobileye and Israel’s Champion Motors announced plans to deploy Israel’s first self-driving ride-hailing service – or Mobility-as-a-Service – starting next year. For this, the partners are planning to establish a joint venture.

The planned cooperation is subject to approval by the relevant authorities and bodies.

Israeli Official: Israel Air Force operations in Syria continued after S-300 delivery

IDF jets blow up Palestinian terrorists placing road-side-bomb on Israel’s border

The Palestinian terror-cell, which had three of its members blown up, was located in the southern Gaza Strip. A Palestinian report from Gaza acknowledged the three deaths were a result of a [retaliatory] air-strike facilitated by 37 rockets that were fired at Israel.
