Israel admits to sending tons of food, clothing, fuel and aid to Syrian refugees

The IDF revealed that it has been providing humanitarian aid, including half a million liters of diesel fuel and dozens of generators to about 200,000 Syrian citizens living in 80 villages and towns in the Syrian Golan Heights that is controlled by ‘friendly’ rebel groups, not affiliated with ISIS.

The IDF revealed Wednesday the scope of humanitarian aid that it helps provide the victims of the civil war in Syria. REPORT: Netanyahu working with Trump, Putin to establish anti-Iran/Hezbollah zone in Syria

 

Times of London reports Israel’s PM Netanyahu called Russian President Putin on the phone seeking assurances Iran-backed groups like Hezbollah won’t operate within a designated buffer-zone, that could extend 30 miles east of Golan Heights, once Syria is divided.

Israel has asked the United States and Russia to establish a buffer zone in southern Syria that would curtail Iranian activity as part of the overall political arrangement for the country, The Times of London reported Thursday.

According to the report, based on sources in the Middle East, Jerusalem would like the two powers to “guarantee a buffer zone in southern Syria where Hezbollah and other Iranian-backed militias will not be allowed to operate.” Continue Reading »

IDF attacked a cannon belonging to the Syrian army after two errant projectiles fall and explode on the border.
– IDF Spokesman: “We will not tolerate any breach of Israel’s sovereignty.”

Two projectiles fell in the northern Israeli Golan Heights on Saturday evening, the 17th and 18th such instance this week of spillover from the civil war in Syria. No one was hurt.

In response to the spillover fire, the IDF attacked a cannon belonging to the Syrian army. The Lebanese Al Mayadeen TV network, which is affiliated with the Assad regime and Hezbollah, reported the Israeli retaliation targeted a position of the Syrian army near the Naba’a al-Fawar base. Israeli aircraft strike Syrian army post after errant projectile exploded in the Golan

 

IDF reported no injuries from the Syrian projectile which exploded in the Golan Heights, but Friday’s unprovoked incident was the 4th such incident this week.

Israeli aircraft on Friday struck a Syrian army post hours after stray fire from Syria’s civil war hit the Golan Heights.

“In response to the projectile launched earlier today at Israel from Syria, an Israel Air Force aircraft targeted the Syrian army position that fired the mortar,” the English-language Israeli statement said, according to AFP.

Ignoring Iranian threats, IDF retaliates again, after errant projectile explodes in Israel

 

Israeli forces strike back again at Syria after stray fire from internal infighting landed for the second time in open areas of Israel’s Golan Heights.

Israel Defense Forces struck back at Syria in retaliation for the stray projectile that landed in an open area of Israel’s Golan Heights.

Israeli security forces said there were no injuries and no damage from the errant projectile and it was the result of internal fighting in Syria.

The Israel Defense Forces reported that the projectiles landed in “an open area” causing no known injuries or damage and were believed to be spillover from the Syrian civil war.

Israel downs intruding unmanned aircraft from Syria

 

The IDF successfully launched a Patriot missile & destroyed an unknown UAV that violated Israeli airspace over the Golan Heights.

The Israeli Defense Forces on Thursday launched a patriot missile at an unmanned aircraft (UAV) from Syria nearing the Israeli border, violating Israeli airspace.

“The IDF will not allow any breach of Israel’s airspace and will act against any attempt of infiltration,” said the IDF in a statement.

The target was successfully intercepted and shot down over the Golan Heights in northern Israel, confirmed the IDF, stating the UAV was under full surveillance by the Israeli Air Force. Continue Reading »

IDF unit opened fire on a position where 3 mortars were fire on Friday afternoon that landed & exploded in the Golan Heights. –  No physical injuries or damage were reported.

ISIS affiliate groups gaining ground in Syrian Golan offensive

 

The latest offensive by an ISIS-allied group in the tri-border region of southwest Syria, Israel and Jordan has quickly captured 4 villages and is currently endangering the Syrian city of Daraa, whose southwest suburb is already under ISIS control.

ISIS-affiliated groups opened a major offensive in the tri-nation border of Israel, Syria and Jordan, attacking various rebel factions and have managed to take control of four villages—Adwan, Saham al-Jawlan, Jalin and Tasil—in addition to the strategic southwestern suburb of Daraa, which is the capital of Hauran.

Netanyahu: We asked Trump to recognize Golan Heights as part of the State of Israel

 

In a historic departure from the dictated ‘Two State Solution’ Netanyahu, who also spoke with reporters after his meeting with Trump, did not mention it, rather touched on other subjects.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday held a press briefing following his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he revealed that he asked Trump to fully recognize Israel’s presence in Golan Heights as part of the State of Israel.

He noted that Trump did not rule out the possibility and was not surprised by the request.

IDF responds after Syrian mortar explodes in Israel

 

No reported causalities or damage after Syrian war spillover, when a mortar explodes near the border fence on the Israeli side of the Golan Heights Wednesday night.

Earlier in the evening, a mortar shell fired from a tank in Syria exploded in open territory in the Golan Heights along Israel’s northern border. The IDF attacked a Syrian army post in retaliation.

Jordanian Army’s Chief of Staff: ISIS unit in Syrian Golan have anti-aircraft missiles

 

In a BBC interview, head of the Jordanian army says ISIS unit in Syria’s Golan Heights, near the Jordanian border, may have possession of American anti-aircraft missiles.

Jordanian Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mahmoud Freihat warned in an interview with BBC on Saturday that  fighters have anti-aircraft missiles.

In the interview, which was given in Arabic, Freihat referred specifically to the Syria-Jordan-Israel border, near the Golan Heights area.
