US Envoy to the UN, Nikki Haley: Latest UNHRC report also ‘reeks of anti-Israel bias’

 

In the statement issued to the UNHRC, Haley wrote, “This report is just the latest example of the Human Rights Council singling out Israel rather than focusing on the world’s actual human rights abusers. Not only does it undermine the credibility of the Human Rights Council on human rights issues, but it once again highlights the unfair bias of the UN when it comes to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

US envoy to UN Haley: UNHRC ignores those to whom they are appointed to protect

 

In an op-ed in the Washington Post Amb. Haley writes, “All too often…the victims of the world’s most egregious human rights violations are ignored by the very organization that is supposed to protect them,” called on council to “end its practice of wrongly singling out Israel for criticism,” curious “whether the Human Rights Council actually supports human rights” or whether it is “merely a showcase for dictatorships that use their membership to whitewash brutality.”

Amb. Nikki Haley, US envoy to the UN is coming to Israel

 

 

Ambassador Nikki Haley, who has criticized the UN Human Rights Council as “corrupt” for it’s bias ‘Israel-bashing’, will be the first US ambassador to address the rights council.

Haley has won applause from the Israeli government for pledging to stand up to what ‘Israel-bashing’ at UN

US Ambassador Nikki Haley, who has accused the United Nations of anti-Israel bias, will travel to Israel next week and deliver an address to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Jerusalem asks Washington to nullify Obama’s sanctioned anti-Israel UNSC Resolution 2334

 

Israel’s Foreign Ministry seeks to garner support for abating undue UN criticism and exaggerated focus on Israel by slashing their budget and manpower resources dedicated to just anti-Israel scrutiny, as well as the disproportionate number of Security Council resolutions continuously presented against Israel (at the behest of the Palestinians).

The Israeli Foreign Ministry appealed this week to US Envoy to the UN Nikki Haley to nullify Security Council Resolution 2334 which calls for an end to settlement construction while simultaneously declaring them illegal, both in the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem.

Arabs continue to go after Jewish sites in upcoming UNESCO resolution

 

Despite succsessfully removing sensitive Jewish-related holy sites in Jerusalem from an upcoming UNESCO meeting, Arab states are claiming other historicly Jewish sites, including the Cave of the Patriarchs and the Tomb of Rachel, as Palestinian sites.

In a diplomatic win for Israel, the Temple Mount and Western Wall will not be mentioned nor included in any vote or measure during a meeting of the UNESCO Executive Board on Jerusalem and the territories May 1st.

A draft of the decision, which Ynet obtained, represents a significant achievement for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Israeli diplomacy at UNESCO, which is considered one of the most hostile arenas for Israel at the UN.

Israel, US reject UN agency’s invidious report of ‘Apartheid Regime’, as outright lie

 

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters in New York, “The report as it stands does not reflect the views of the secretary-general (Antonio Guterres),” adding that the report itself reflects the views of the authors, ESCWA, that’s comprised of 18 Arab states in Western Asia.

A UN agency published a report on Wednesday accusing Israel of imposing an “apartheid regime” of racial discrimination on the Palestinian people, and said it was the first time a UN body had clearly made the charge.
