The case, being reviewed by French prosecutors who have 3 months to close the case or take it to court, require the Palestinian Authority to first assure no death penalty imposed on anyone, if found guilty of killing Arafat.

France has demanded that the Palestinian Authority promise that it wouldn’t impose the death penalty on anyone found guilty of killing former PLO leader Yasser Arafat, a senior Fatah official said on Wednesday.

Jimmy Carter: Seeking meeting with Netanyahu is waste of time

Speaking in Jerusalem, former US president Jimmy Carter on Saturday urged Israel to work toward a diplomatic resolution to the Palestinian conflict and end its military presence in the Palestinian territories.

However, he sounded a less-than-optimistic note regarding the Israeli leadership’s commitment to these goals.

“We didn’t ask for any meeting with Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu or his cabinet we have never met in the past and this time we didn’t ask because it would be a waste of time,” said Carter, a member of The Elders, an independent Group of global leaders.

Palestinians Changing Publicity Tactics to Appear ‘Normal’ in Christian World

The PA is addressing its ‘Image Problem’, realizing that when mothers openly ululate in happiness when their children ‘marry virgins in Heaven’, (having been killed in acts of terrorism), is bad publicity in the Judeo-Christian media.

By Ari Yashar

The Palestinian Authority (PA) has a long history of broadcasting images of Palestinian Arab women ululating in cries of joy over their dead “martyr” terrorist relatives, particularly in cases of mothers celebrating the terrorist activities of their children – but one official has warned the custom may be creating a public relations problem.

Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) translated a broadcast on official PA TV from late last month, in which the mother of a “martyr” explained the ins-and-outs of the celebratory ululations, saying “it’s true what they say that we ululate for our children because our child is going to Heaven to marry the Dark-Eyed Virgins.” Continue Reading »

Lies About Gaza Are Swallowed Easily and Exploited Widely to Libel Israel

Year after year, mainstream media continue their traditional anti-Israel frenzy knowing full well the lies portray the Jewish State in a sinister manor.

By Ryan Jones

Had they done so, these gatekeepers of Western public opinion would have realized that Israel has no dams that can be opened and closed in its southern region, and that Gaza is simply a low-lying coastal area that unfortunately suffers severe flooding during winters with average-to-above average rainfall.

The Daily Mail did later publish a retraction, but, as usual, the damage had already been done.

One story most of these media outlets chose not to cover was the announcement last week that Israel would soon double the amount of fresh water it provides to Gaza.

MAJOR Daily Mail blunder – twice: It claims Israel flooded ‘Gaza’s major West Bank cities’

Unbelievable inaccuracies for UK news media:
1. There are no dams in southern Israel
2. Nablus & Jenin cannot be “two of Gaza’s major West Bank cities.”

British paper The Daily Mail published a story on Monday that originally accused Israel of intentionally opening dams in southern Israel in order to flood Gaza. The only problem is, as writer and Lydia Willgress has learned the hard way, there are no dams in southern Israel.

French News Service Lies, Reports Israel ‘Flooded Palestinian Village’ with Nonexistent Dam

AFP video report translates that Gaza has been deliberately flooded by Israel when speaker accuses ‘the Jews’ (Yahoud) – despite the fact Israel has no dams in southern Israel.

By Ari Yashar

Agence France Presse (AFP) has been caught publishing a blatant lie against Israel after similar cases in the past, posting a video this week claiming “Gaza village floods after Israel opens dam gates,” in a claim of deliberate flooding disproved by the fact that Israel has no dams in the south.

In the video a resident of Gaza, Ead Zino from Al-Maghraqa, claims “every four years there is a war but here in Maghraqa every year there is a flood.

How a pro-Israel Muslim was ambushed by Australian breakfast TV

A Muslim physician had been reduced to an instrument of rank media opportunism on Australia’s Channel 7, by producers who shamelessly exploited her Israeli-Palestinian goodwill project at Hadassah hospital, & turned it into a ‘Pallywood’ production for Hamas.

By Dr. Qanta A Ahmed

On a recent trip to Australia I was booked by Ch7′s Weekend Sunrise to discuss Project Rozana, an Israeli-Palestinian initiative to train West Bank physicians (predominantly Palestinian Muslims) in Israel’s Hadassah hospital. As an ambassador for the Project, I was lock step with my ideals both as a physician and as an observing Muslim opposed to virulently anti-Semitic Islamism. Continue Reading »

Arab Muslims Rewriting the Bible: Jesus was the first Palestinian

Both Palestinian leaders & Islamic religious clerics alike continue to preach that Jesus was one of their own, and their lie has caught on.

By Israel Today Staff

As has become custom, Palestinian Authority last week made a show of claiming Jesus as one of their own in the run-up to Christmas.

REPORT: Incredible Compilation Detailing Media’s Egregious Misrepresentations About Israel

Former AP reporter demonstrates how major western media outlets seek to display the ‘Jews of Israel, more than any other people on earth, as examples of moral failure.’

During the Gaza war this summer, it became clear that one of the most important aspects of the media-saturated conflict between Jews and Arabs is also the least covered: the press itself. The Western press has become less an observer of this conflict than an actor in it, a role with consequences for the millions of people trying to comprehend current events, including policymakers who depend on journalistic accounts to understand a region where they consistently seek, and fail, to productively intervene.

Palestinian Leader Accuses Israeli ‘Beast-masters’ for Unleashing Wild Boars

Another fantastical accusation is the latest in a long tradition of Muslim leaders’ claim that Israel employs supernatural means to harass its enemies.

By Israel Today Staff

If Israel’s antagonists in the region are to be believed, the Jewish state employs all manner of bizarre and even mythical tactics against its foes. The latest, according to Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, is the unleashing of wild boars upon the fields of Arab farmers.

PLO Urges Media Outlets & Journalists Not to Use the Term, ‘Temple Mount’

In a blatant attempt to further erase Jewish history, and strengthen the propaganda war against Israel, Mahmoud Abbas’s faction has sent out a notice to journalists that they should use ‘Al Aqsa Mosque Compound’ in describing Judaism’s most holy site.

By Ari Soffer

PA chief Mahmoud Abbas’s Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) has issued special instructions to members of the international media, urging them to stop using the term “Temple Mount,” and to instead refer to the holy site as “the Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound” or “Haram al-Sharif/Noble Sanctuary.”

In a blatant attempt to impose a discourse erasing any reference to the Jewish character of the site, the PLO “media advisory” claims that the “Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound, sometimes referred to as the Noble Sanctuary (“Haram al-Sharif” in Arabic), is the compound that contains Al Aqsa building itself, ablution fountains, open spaces for prayer, monuments and the Dome of the Rock building. Four Irish visitors’ view of Israel’s ‘Troubles’

After a visit to Israel 2 weeks ago, a group of 4 Northern Irish shared their impressions.

By SETH J. FRANTZMAN

Michael Copeland, a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly, recalls a recent protest near his office in Belfast during Operation Protective Edge. “There was civil disorder, with people waving Palestinian and Israeli flags.” He also recalls how Israeli goods were removed from stores, one of many vignettes of how the conflict played itself out in Europe. “The world’s press does not do Israel great justice,” Copeland notes.

Palestinians concerned int’l attention on IS will harm its cause

Palestinian official Saeb Erekat claims the current extremism in the Middle East was triggered by the Israeli occupation & the suffering of the Palestinian people.

By Ynetnews

Palestinian officials in Ramallah are concerned about the decline in the world media’s coverage of the Palestinian cause, in light of the shift in international focus towards the establishment of a global coalition against Islamic State terrorist group, Israel Radio reported.

Speaking to the Fatah television channel, Saeb Erekat said on Sunday that the reason behind the extremism in the Middle East was the continued Israeli occupation, the suffering of the Palestinian people and the “terror acts” committed by Israel and the settlers, the report further added. Washington Post Makes Correction: There is No ‘Occupied Palestine’

Major American media outlet, the Washington Post openly acknowledges that there is no ‘occupied Palestine,’ but rather disputed territories claimed by the Palestinians

By Israel Today Staff

One of the key tenets of the Palestinian narrative that underlies the land-for-peace process is that Israel currently occupies a country known as “Palestine” in the same way Germany once occupied Poland, or China still occupies Tibet.

Those trying to correct this fallacy in service to establishing a more genuine base upon which to build peace scored a major victory this week when The Washington Post acknowledged there is no “occupied Palestine.”

Many of the images that supposedly show Gaza under bombardment over the past week are neither current nor from Gaza, the global news organization wrote.
