Arab Terrorist Shot Trying to Infiltrate into Shomron Town

IDF soldiers open fire on 2 Palestinian terrorists trying to infiltrate into the Shomron town of Kochav Ya’akov.

IDF soldiers were able to foil an attempt by two terrorists to infiltrate into the Shomron (Samaria) town of Kochav Ya’akov, northeast of Jerusalem, on Monday evening.

The soldiers caught the two as they were tampering with the fence surrounding the town and opened fire towards them. One of the terrorists was wounded and taken for treatment in a Ramallah hospital. His condition is unknown.

Officials in the IDF said that there have been several recent attempts by terrorists to infiltrate into the town, all of which were stopped by security forces. Continue Reading »

Alert IDF Soldiers Discover Illegal Weapons in Terrorist’s Possession

Late Tuesday evening, soldiers from the IDF’s Kfir Brigade discovered 2 automatic assault-rifles & a handgun while carrying out an arrest in the Judea & Samaria region.

Major Shai Kedem, deputy commander of the battalion responsible for the operation, explained how his soldiers uncovered the weapons.

“The incident started as a routine arrest that we carried out after receiving intelligence information,” said Maj. Shai Kedem, an IDF commander whose soldiers uncovered several weapons south of Jenin late Tuesday. During the arrest, the soldiers performed searches and found concealed weapons in the house of a Palestinian terror suspect.

IDF, Shin Bet arrest Arab cell planning terror attacks on Jewish Israelis

 

The Palestinian terror cell, affiliated with Hamas was arrested just before executing planned bombing and shooting attacks against Israelis.

Security forces led by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) arrested members of a Hamas-affiliated terrorist cell in Kalkilya in recent months, who were plotting a campaign of bombings and shootings against Israeli targets, the Shin Bet announced Wednesday.

Security sources told The Jerusalem Post that the suspects, who were arrested in a series of raids between December and March, were in the early phase of planning terrorist attacks on Israeli targets in the West Bank and within the Green Line.

Terrorist Killed by ‘Pressure Cooker’ Tactic

A tactic used by the YAMAM SWAT team, dubbed ‘pressure cooker’ failed to persuade an armed suspect to come out of his hideout. Instead, he went down shooting.

A special Yamam SWAT police force raided a large structure at Bir Zeit, not far from Beit El, on Thursday, and wound up killing a terror suspect.

The force is of the type known as ‘mistaaravim’ – which disguises itself as a group of Arabs in order to avoid detection. Its mission was to arrest three wanted suspects.

Alert IDF soldiers foiled a terror attack on Sunday, when they caught six pipe bombs in the possession of two Palestinian Arabs.

The incident took place next to the Arab village of Huwara in the Shomron (Samaria). The head of the 931 Infantry Battalion of the Nahal Brigade, Guy Shadmi, told Arutz Sheva that soldiers identified two Arabs who were coming from the direction of Shechem and driving suspiciously.

“When they approached Har Bracha, the Palestinians threw a bag with a number of objects out of the car, at which point the soldiers stopped them,” Shadmi said, adding that after the Arabs were arrested and questioned, they admitted to having thrown six pipe bombs from their vehicle. Israel sends terrorists’ bodies to Palestinian Authority

The remains of 36 terrorists to be transferred to the PA following court order.

Israeli official says the move was purely procedural & denies the move is any ‘gesture’.

Israel late Sunday began the gradual handover of the remains of 36 Palestinians buried on its turf to the Palestinian Authority in a move reportedly aimed at boosting the ongoing peace talks between the two sides.

The deceased were militants laid to rest in “numbered graves” at a specially designated cemetery for enemy fatalities.

The transfer became possible after Israel’s High Court of Justice acquiesced to release the bodies following an appeal by Israeli human right groups and the Palestinian families of the late militants. Continue Reading »

Police officers from Maaleh Adumim and border police have discovered an illegal weapons cache in the Palestinian Authority (PA) controlled village of Azariya, located off Highway 1, several minutes outside of Jerusalem on the way to Maaleh Adumim.

A 2nd policeman was lightly hurt during scuffle to bring Palestinian teen under control.

A 16-year-old Arab girl attempted to stab a border police officer with a knife near Nablus Gate in Jerusalem on Friday. The suspect is a resident of the Jabal al-Mukaber neighborhood in east Jerusalem police said.

Security personnel succeeded in disarming the woman and bringing her under control but in the process, one of them was injured lightly in the leg. The injured man received medical treatment at the scene.

A statement issued Wednesday by the State Department said Usamah Amin al-Shihabi was an associate of Fatah al-Islam, “a Lebanese-based militant group formed in 2006, whose ultimate goal is the institution of Islamist sharia law in the Palestinian refugee camps and the destruction of Israel”. The Palestinian terrorists, discovered in the Hebron region, were in the planning stages of a terror attack supposed to take place in upcoming days.
