UNRWA Deceives by Insinuating Gaza’s Fuel Shortage is Israel’s Fault

UNRWA purposefully doesn’t mention the Egyptian blockade on Gaza, with their closure of the tunnels that had provided smuggled (stolen?) fuel.

UNRWA also neglects to mention Hamas’ refusal to pay the PA fuel prices, or how Hamas is exploiting Gazans’ suffering to get a much lower price for fuel.

Peres & Netanyahu mourn Mandela’s passing, ‘a freedom fighter who opposed violence’

Mandela was “the father of his nation, a man of vision, a freedom fighter who opposed violence,” Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu wrote on his Facebook page late Thursday night.

Earlier this year, the Open University joined the international project of distant-learning, MOOCs, massive open online courses, which draw students from around the globe, including Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and even Sudan.

Ben Gurion Airport to shut Terminal 3 on Friday for security system check

Passengers will be directed to Terminal 1 as new screening system, intended to replace invasive questioning, will be checked in final evaluation.

 

 

Ben-Gurion International Airport will close its main terminal for the day on Friday to test its new luggage screening system, aimed at improving the airport’s method of conducting personal security checks.

Mossad’s Best Receive Honors

A ceremony honoring the Mossad intelligence agency’s best officers took place Thursday evening at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem.

President Shimon Peres gave citations of excellence to 12 of the espionage agency’s finest, with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Mossad Head Tamor Pardo in attendance.

The officers honored received the citations for standing at the forefront of the effort to thwart the unconventional weapons threat, the war on terror and the prevention of other therats against Israel. Continue Reading »

Sir Paul McCartney: Palestinians & Israelis need peace

Former ‘Beatle’ says all donations made to ‘OneVoice,’ the Israeli-Palestinian youth peace initiative, will be doubled after 5th of December.

Former Beatles member and British music sensation Sir Paul McCartney is pledging to support a Middle East peace initiative because “Israelis and Palestinians deserve peace,” he said.

As of Thursday December 5, McCartney announced on his Twitter feed that all donations made to the organization, OneVoice, will be doubled beginning December 5th.

The youth organization, OneVoice, aimed at educating Israeli and Palestinian youth in Middle East conflict resolution, has developed a Youth Leadership Program, and have set a fundraising goal of £260,000, of which as of Thursday, £15,266 had been raised.

The Palestinian Authority rejected ideas raised by visiting U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday for security arrangements under a possible future peace accord with Israel, a Palestinian official said.

Norwegian delegation asks for Israel’s forgiveness in Jerusalem

An IT security company reports a Trojan horse viruses on YouTube & Facebook were among the top threats to Israeli computer users last November.

The ESET company has revealed the top three threats to Israeli computer-users for the month of November. All three are viruses that have been spread primarily on Facebook and YouTube.

Lake Kinneret rose for the first time since April on Thursday morning – by 1 centimeter – as a direct result of ongoing rains, the Water Authority said.

American Studies leaders back Israeli boycott, ask members to vote

The 20-member national council approved the boycott resolution unanimously, but full body endorsement is still pending.

The boycott will not inhibit collaboration with individual Israeli academics, the statement said.

The American Studies Association leadership on Wednesday endorsed a boycott of Israeli universities, but also sought the approval of the body’s 5,000 members.The decision follows a contentious debate at the group’s annual meeting last month and 10 days of deliberations that were supposed to last a morning. The boycott resolution was approved unanimously by the 20-member national council.
