Israel reconsiders: Jerusalem to cooperate with probe on attacks to/from UN facilities

Jerusalem believes the UN investigative committee to be professional & it’s promise to look at the context that led up Israel’s response on Gaza, as well as what transpired at UN facilities.

In signal that Jerusalem is not opposed to cooperating with international investigative bodies it believes are professional and impartial, Jerusalem agreed on Thursday to cooperate with a UN probe investigating both attacks on UNRWA facilities during this summer’s military operation in Gaza and Hamas’ use of those facilities to store weapons.

The decision to cooperate with the “board of inquiry” established by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon stands in stark contrast to Jerusalem’s decision not to cooperate with a UN Human Rights Council investigative committee set up to investigate what the Palestinians allege were Israeli war crimes during Operation Protective Edge. By Ynetnews

What happened when filmmaker Ami Horowitz decided to wave the Islamic State flag at UC Berkeley? And what happened when he tried to wave Israel’s flag at the university’s campus? Students at the California research university, it seems, are completely indifferent towards the Islamic State, and very passionate in their views against Israel.

World Remains Silent as Gazans Suffer Continued Egyptian Expulsion

Palestinians along Egypt’s border complain of constant explosions ‘worse than IDF operation’ as their homes are demolished, & Gaza’s economy collapses.

By Ari Yashar

Residents in Gaza’s south, and particularly the Sinai border town of Rafah, are being expelled from their homes and having them demolished by dynamite and bulldozers – an expulsion world media has largely shied away from because it is being conducted by the Egyptian army.

The Egyptian expulsion to create a buffer zone follows lethal terrorist attacks on Egyptian soldiers in the Sinai last month, and the ensuing crackdown on smuggling tunnels from Gaza by which Hamas reportedly armed the attackers has already seen hundreds of homes destroyed. Continue Reading »

Miller’s research at Ben-Gurion University (BGU) of the Negev in Beersheva revealed, for the first time, the atomic structure of a brain protein fragment called non-amyloid beta component (NAC), known to trigger PD when it clumps together.

The same clumping action by an endocrine hormone called amylin harms insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas, leading to T2D. Continue Reading »
