Former diplomats and intellectuals came out against Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman Monday, a day after he called to decapitate Israeli Arabs who are “against us.”

Tourists find 2,300 year-old jewelry in Israel’s Galilee

Members of the Israel Caving Club uncovered a rare treasure including silver coins minted during the reign of Alexander the Great who conquered Israel during the Hellenestic period.

Israeli tourists discovered a rare treasure trove filled with 2,300-year-old coins, and silver and copper objects inside a cave in northern Israel.

Senators Warn Iran: Nuclear Deal Signed by Obama Ends in 2016

A group of 47 Republican senators has written an open letter to Iran’s leaders warning them that any nuclear deal they sign with President Barack Obama will not be valid after Obama leaves office in 2016, reports Josh Rogin on Bloomberg.

Palestinians report: Gaza fisherman shot dead by Israeli navy

Israel says after navy fired warning shots, it then targeted the engines of 2 of the 4 possible smuggling boats that had ‘strayed’ outside permissible fishing zone.

A Palestinian fisherman was shot dead by Israeli forces on Saturday off the coast of the Gaza Strip, a spokesman for the Palestinian health services said.

Tawfiq Abu Riala, 34, was killed and two other Gaza fishermen were arrested, said Ashraf al-Kidra, a Gaza health ministry spokesman.

Jews Dress Up on Purim as Arabs to Ascend the Temple Mount

Jewish worshippers this Purim dressed up as Arabs in order to get around the police’s restrictions on Jews praying on the Temple Mount.

A group of Temple Mount activists were spotted dressed up as Arabs on Friday in order to be able to enter the compound.

The Jewish activists did not do this in the spirit of Purim, which was celebrated in the capital on Friday. They did it in order to get around a ban on Jewish prayer which was imposed by the police.

Despite a court ruling earlier this week which said that police “must make sure that Jews are able to pray on the Temple Mount”, officers have been restricting Jewish prayer at the compound since Wednesday, telling worshippers that the restrictions are in accordance with a decision by the political leadership following pressure from Jordan.

Arab Terrorist Rams Car Into Jerusalem Pedestrians

Israel Police reports that the terrorist was shot after he drove up on the sidewalk and ran over five people close to the Border Police base in Jerusalem.

ZAKA reported Friday morning that a rampage terror attack occurred a short time ago near the Border Patrol’s base in the Shimon HaTzadik neighborhood in Jerusalem.

A police statement clarified that the Arab terrorist attack was conducted in a private car that approached the base from Zaks Junction before going up on the sidewalk and running over five people, of whom four were from the security forces.

$10 million Donated to Tel Aviv University

American filmmaker Steve Tisch, and a co-owner of the NY Giants Football team, has just donated $10 million to TAU’s Department of Film & Television.

Steve Tisch, a world-renowned filmmaker and a co-owner of the New York Football Giants, has donated $10 million to Tel Aviv University’s Department of Film and Television. The donation comes amidst a boom in the Israeli film and television industry – with much of it driven by TAU alumni – and will help fuel its continued growth across the globe, a spokesperson for Tisch said. WSJ reports Egypt ready to import Israel natural gas if conditions are met

Egyptian Oil Minister told Wall Street Journal that gas price must be right and the current legal complaint by Union Fenosa Gas against Egypt must be dropped.

Egypt is ready to take the controversial step of importing natural gas from Israel, if the price is right and if one of the gas companies involved in the deal drops legal action, Egyptian Oil Minister Sherif Ismail told The Wall Street Journal on Thursday.

Tel Aviv has been named by the National Geographic magazine as one of the world’s top 10 oceanfront cities. Tel Aviv was joined on the list by Tallinn, Estonia; Saint John’s, Canada; San Diego, California; Marseille, France; Perth and Brisbane, Australia; Durban, South Africa; Vladivostok, Russia; and Portland, Maine.

Police in Holland stop vendor from selling ‘Holocaust soap’, said made from Jewish bodies

NRC website reports vendor being investigated for attempting to sell soap online for €199, along with dentures, tooth brushes and glasses from Jewish victims of the Nazis.

The Dutch newspaper NRC reported Wednesday that police in north Holland are investigating an antiquities vendor who reportedly attempted to sell soap that had been made during the Holocaust, which he claimed was made from bodies of Jewish victims killed in Nazi extermination camps.

Soap reportedly from Holocaust was being sold online.

The vendor reportedly attempted to sell the soap for 199 euro.

The troubling news came from historian Arthur Haraf, who said the vendor offered to sell objects that he found near a concentration camp, from which Dutch Jews were sent to extermination camps.

IDF unveils newly developed technique for demolishing terror tunnels

Anticipating Hezbollah using terror tunnels in the event of another war, the IDF is conducting special training for detonating tunnel openings & has developed new underground communication equipment.

Less than a year after operations to destroy tunnels built by Hamas, the IDF has been training extensively to prepare for the possibility of similar structures being used by Hezbollah. Sources in the IDF estimate that the Shiite organization will, like Hamas, exploit the advantages of underground tunnels and attempt to kidnap soldiers.
