Video: Israel introduces technological break through in electric cars

Phinergy drives their car by metal, air, and water, with the developers wanting the cost of their aluminum-air batteries to have a price equal to or less than gas, with their ultimate goal of being 100% petroleum free and with zero emission.

Phinergy is an Israeli start-up company, partnered with the aluminum giant Alcoa, specializing in hybrid lithium-ion and aluminum-air/zinc-air battery systems for electric vehicles.

The company was founded in 2008 by Aviv Tzidon of Tel Aviv, who also acts as the CEO of the company, based on technology originating at Bar Ilan University.

Phinergy has patented a “nano-porous silver-based catalyst”, which allows oxygen into the electrode and the cell while at the same time blocking carbon dioxide. Continue Reading »

Bahraini Official: ‘We will be first Gulf state to establish ties with Israel’

Growing closer to a historical event? “Bahrain does not view Israel as an enemy,” proclaimed the official in an interview with an Israeli daily, adding that normalization with Israel “will not contradict the principles of Bahrain.”

Ahead of an extraordinary official visit by an Israeli delegation to Bahrain later this month, an official from the Kingdom told i24NEWS that Bahrain will be the first Gulf state to establish diplomatic relations with Israel.

With mainstream media initially assuming the U.S. was responsible for the latest lethal airstrike in Syria, an American official is reported to have told CNN that Israeli jets must have “overcome significant logistical hurdles” to strike near the Iraqi border, far from Israel’s usual targets near Homs or Damascus.

Palestinian terrorist blown up by IDF booby trap while infiltrating into Israel

One terrorist dead and 5 more wounded while attempting to breach Israel’s security fence with Gaza on Monday, as IDF institutes new measures at preventing hostile infiltrations by supplementing border with explosive counter-measures.

Five Palestinian terrorists were wounded and another, killed on Monday after an explosive device planted along the Gaza border by the IDF exploded as they attempted to infiltrate into Israel.

The man killed is believed to be 24 years old.

A massive terror cell organized by the Hamas terrorist organization planned a series of suicide bombings and other terror attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces, the Shin Bet internal security agency revealed on Sunday.

Russia breaks from past policy, celebrates Russia Day reception in Jerusalem

Russia’s newly appointed ambassador to Israel, Anatoly Viktorov, said that holding Russia Day in Jerusalem was in line with Vladimir Putin’s statement last year, “that we view west Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.”
