Canadian MP: After elected Prime Minister, Canada’s embassy will move to Jerusalem

 

Canadian candidate, Kellie Leitch wrote, “In the wake of the recent UN vote and the comments of John Kerry, Canada must demonstrate its support for Israel. As Prime Minister, I will move the Canadian embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.”

Huckabee: Defund United Nations, reallocate the financing to U.S. veterans

 

In the wake of the anti-Israel resolution, several American lawmakers have called for the U.S. to stop funding to the UN until the resolution is reversed. Former Arkansas Governor, “We ought to take that money that’s going to the UN and make it available to veterans.”

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee suggested on Thursday that, in the aftermath of the United Nations resolution condemning Israeli presence in Judea and Samaria, that the United States pull its portion of the international body’s funding.

South Carolina Governor, Nikki Haley will be the next US envoy to United Nations

 

Although Nikki Haley and her new boss Donald Trump have spared on a host of issues, she appears to be in line on how the Jewish State should be treated at the United Nations.

NEW YORK – When US President Barack Obama first tapped Samantha Power as ambassador to the UN in 2013, Israeli officials and media figures treated her record – militantly opposed to Western voyeurism in Syria and publicly critical of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians – as an indication of the president’s direction on the Middle East entering his second term.

Judging South Carolina Governor, Nikki Haley, her likely successor, based on similar metrics, Israelis now expect a shift in its favor at the UN and against a growing movement to boycott, divest from and sanction the Jewish state given renewed energy last week after the Security Council voted to condemn Israel’s settlement activity as an illegal enterprise. The Bank für Sozialwirtschaft (Bank for Social Economy) has closed the account of a German group that promotes the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against the Jewish state.

Rio’s new mayor says city should have “walls like Jerusalem”

 

Having visited Israel dozens of times, Rio’s new mayor-elect told Jewish leaders that he wished the Brazilian city was ‘walled like Jerusalem,’ to prevent weapons & drugs from being brought in.

The mayor-elect of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Crivella, declared that Brazil’s second largest city should surround itself with “walls like Jerusalem.”

The major-elect, who is also an evangelical bishop, said the walls could prevent the entry of arms and drugs.

Medical mission from Israel, Germany treat pediatric heart patients in Tanzania

 

Israeli based Save A Child’s Heart, sent a multi-national team to Tanzania to assist a local hospital improve the cardiac care for children with heart disease.

A joint Israeli-German medical mission composed of teams from Wolfson Medical Center and the Deutsches Herzzentrum Berlin, earlier this month carried out a 5-day mission to Tanzania, the mission’s organizer told i24news.

The five-day mission, which began on Novermber 1, was organized by Save A Child’s Heart (SACH), an Israeli-based non-profit organization, working around the world to improve the cardiac care for children from developing countries, and carried out in partnership with the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute in Dar es Salaam. President-elect Donald Trump’s aides reportedly warned President Barack Obama not to “even think about” trying to push for progress on the Israeli-Arab conflict between now and January 20.

Shiite Muslim nation to acquire Iron Dome defense missile batteries from Israel

Azerbaijan is planning to acquire several Iron Dome air defense system batteries, Israel Hayom learned Thursday.

Iron Dome, manufactured by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, is designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from distances of 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) to 70 kilometers (43 miles).

REPORT: Russian PM declares support of Jewish connection to Jerusalem

In a TV2 report, Russian PM Medvedev says, “Our country never denied Israel’s or the Jewish people’s rights to Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.”

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev spoke with Channel 2 about the Israel-Russia relationship.

During the interview Medvedev was asked about UNESCO’s decision to deny history and claim Israel has no connection to the Western Wall and other holy places in Jerusalem.

Revealed by Azerbaijan MP: Mossad neutralized Iranian terrorists at 2012 Eurovision event

 

MP Yevda Abramov, head of Baku’s Parliamentary Committee on Israel-Azerbaijan Relations, reported that Israel’s “Mossad divers neutralized an Iranian terrorists cell” targeting the 2012 Eurovision song contest in the capital.

Israeli intelligence agents were able to prevent a major terrorist attack in Azerbaijan during the 2012 Eurovision song contest in Baku, Azerbaijani MP Yevda Abramov revealed Tuesday.
