Egyptian historian chooses normalization with Israel over disastrous Palestinian cause

Maged Farag said the Palestinians are to blame for the lack of peace because “they don’t think it is in their interest…They don’t want to resolve their own problem…For over 70 years, the Palestinian cause has brought upon Egypt and the Egyptians nothing but harm, destruction, and expense.”

Egyptian historian Maged Farag called for normalizing relations with Israel in order to benefit economically and technologically, while saying the Palestinian struggle has caused “nothing but harm” for Egypt.

According to a report by MEMRI, the Middle East Media Research Institute, Farag said in an interview aired last week on the Egyptian Mehwar TV station that Egypt could gain culturally, in trade, tourism, and from Israel’s advanced agricultural and industrial technology. Continue Reading »

At the UN’s ‘Theater of the Absurd’: Hamas-linked group granted NGO status

Israel’s mission accuses the United Nations of accepting the nefarious PRC organization, describing it as the ‘organizational & a coordinating wing of Hamas in Europe’.

Israel on Monday accused the United Nations of granting “UN non-governmental organization status” to an association linked to militant Palestinian group Hamas that it said promotes “anti-Israel propaganda in Europe.”

Israel’s UN mission issued a statement condemning the decision, by the 19-member UN Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations, to approve the application of the Palestinian Return Center (PRC), an organization based in Britain.

The statement said that in 2010 Israel banned the PRC because of its ties to Hamas, labeling it “an organizational and a coordinating wing of Hamas in Europe” with members that include senior Hamas officials. Continue Reading »

Jailed Hamas commander gets solitary after radio interview with smuggled phone

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation approved on Sunday a proposal to prevent the use of cellular devices by prisoners and security detainees involved in acts of terror, presented by Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked.

Coincidentally, the bill was presented after – earlier in the day – Palestinian terrorist Abdullah Barghouti conducted an interview with a Palestinian radio station from prison using his mobile phone.

ISIS Group In Gaza Threaten to Destroy ‘Heretical Hamas’ After Killing Commander

A terror group operating in Gaza called Army of the Islamic State, claim to be associated with ISIS and said that it blew-up a top Hamas commander with a car-bomb.

A group that is operating in Gaza and which says it is associated with ISIS has claimed that it killed a top Hamas commander. According to the group, which calls itself the Army of the Islamic State, Saber Siam was killed when ISIS operatives placed a bomb on his car, blowing it up with him inside.

Israel’s Government Approves Legislation Toughening Punishment for Rock Throwers

This bill offers sentence of 10 years even if thrower’s ‘intent’ was not proven, and sentences for throwing rocks at security personnel, police or police vehicles will be even heavier.

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation approved on Sunday the first bill submitted by Minister Ayelet Shaked, stiffening the punishments and penalties meted out to individuals convicted of rock throwing.

The Committee decided to bring the “continuity principle” to bear on the bill, which was originally submitted by former Justice Minister Tzipi Livni in the previous government, but passed only in the first reading.
