U.S. blocks anti-Israel resolution at the UN Security Council

Facilitated by the Palestinian Authority, Kuwait, Indonesia and South Africa sought to condemn Israel for it’s demolition of 10 apartment buildings illegally built, in what Israel’s High Court determined a high security threat to the State by ignoring their location and defiantly constructing them along Israel’s security barrier.

UNITED NATIONS – The United States on Wednesday blocked an attempt by Kuwait, Indonesia and South Africa to get the United Nations Security Council to condemn Israel’s demolition of Palestinian homes on the outskirts of Jerusalem, diplomats said.

Israel said the 10 apartment buildings demolished on Monday, most of them still under construction, had been built illegally and posed a security risk to Israeli armed forces operating along a barrier that runs through the West Bank. Continue Reading »

Democrats have been wrestling with the issue all year. Liberal lawmakers, most notably Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Continue Reading »

TIME Magazine takes yet another swipe at Israel’s PM Netanyahu

Rarely fair and balanced when reporting on Israel, this TIME Magazine featured article on the Israeli Prime Minister could not avoid acknowledging the list of Netanyahu’s accomplishments.

“Bibi is preparing for yet another campaign, a September do-over election that will test yet again whether the Israel that has grown to resemble its Prime Minister—prosperous, powerful and resilient, yet insecure—still wants him,” reads the TIME article about Israel’s Prime Minister. Dutch Christians Ignore EU Demand to Label Israeli Products

A Dutch Christian company refuses the European Commission requirement to label products imported from Judea & Samaria, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights as ‘Occupied’ or ‘Palestinian’ territory, since they know fine well, it isn’t.

By Israel Today Staff

In a bold act of civil disobedience, a Dutch Christian company refused to label products imported from Judea and Samaria. The Christian Zionists who import Israeli goods snubbed the European ruling and refused to comply with laws requiring they label products originating in Israeli settlements in the biblical heartlands.

“Labeling was created to ensure food safety, but has become a political tool to pressure the Jewish state,” bias, director of the Christians for Israel group said in a statement as reported in JTA. Continue Reading »

A Storm Set to Hit Israel: Meet Newly Nominated EU Foreign Policy Chief

Nominated as EU’s next foreign policy head, Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Borrell once advised the EU about Iranian intentions, saying, “Iran wants to wipe out Israel; nothing new about that. You have to live with it.”
– Regarding the Palestinians, Borrell is in favor of EU countries unilaterally recognizing a Palestinian state.

By HERB KEINON

If past comments are any indication, Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Borrell Fontelles – nominated on Wednesday to be the EU’s next foreign policy czar – will make Israel pine for Federica Mogherini.

And Jerusalem was not particularly fond of Mogherini, for the most part cutting her out of the Mideast loop because of a perceived pro-Palestinian bias. Continue Reading »

BBC caught covering up Palestinian anti-Semitism

BBC was called out for concealing open Arab anti-Semitism in its documentary about Gaza border protests by mistranslating the word ‘Yahud’ [Jew]….FIVE times, in an obvious attempt to point criticism on Israel instead of exposing institutionalized antisemitism prevalent in Palestinian culture.

By Marcy Oster, JTA,

The BBC is being accused of covering up Palestinian Arab anti-Semitism after it mistranslated in subtitles the word for “Jew” to “Israeli” several times in one documentary.

The film “One Day in Gaza,” about last year’s Gaza border protests against the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, aired Monday night on the BBC Two channel. Continue Reading »

Alan Dershowitz: Ilhan Omar still exposing her “ignorance and bigotry”

US Congresswoman Omar encourages Hamas and Islamic Jihad to fire rockets on Israeli cities by placing blame on the Israeli victims, for what she calls the “cycle of violence,” but has no condemnation on those very groups for initiating terrorist rocket-attacks on the Israeli civilians, or for using their people as human shields.

By ALAN DERSHOWITZ

All decent people should be outraged at the terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip that fired 698 rockets at Israeli civilians – killing four, injuring 234 and traumatizing thousands of innocent children. Imagine what other countries, including the United States, would do if lethal rockets targeted their civilians. Continue Reading »

No Democratic candidate for president condemned Hamas firing 500 rockets

It really is time for #Jexodus!
Traditionally the party of American Jews, with 500 rockets fired, not a single 2020 Democrat presidential candidate issued a statement against the rocket-attack on Israel. BUT, no one should be surprised, since past Democratic POTUS’ have happily courted those who called for, and worked for, the death of Jews.

By Mordechai Sones

Longtime New York Democrat State Assemblyman, pro-Israel advocate, and current Coalition for a Positive America Chairman Dov Hikind today excoriated the Democratic Party, saying “Hamas rockets fly but Democratic condemnation is nil.”

Muslim Zionist exposes those who only know, ‘How to defame Israel’

Once anti-Zionists feel defeated in speaking with Zionists, or they feel they’re not winning the topic they started, because they’ve refused to accept historical facts, they begin abusing the other speaker & begin using foul language against and about the Jewish people.

– Let’s Defame the Jewish State of Israel

By Noor Dahri

During the many years since I started talking with my fellow Muslims about their baseless arguments against the state of Israel, I could see them arguing without knowledge. I could tell they know nothing about Israel. They had a few topics to discuss, “illegal settlements, Gaza being blockaded, unlawful occupation and Israeli operations against Hamas, the Holy Land belongs to Palestinians and Palestinians are indigenous habitants of the land.” Continue Reading »

Papadopoulos: Muller investigated Israel ties, not ‘Russian Collusion’

In an interview on Israel’s Army Radio, George Papadopoulos said he was targeted, but not for what American media reported, saying, “What I was really targeted for by the Muller team and these individuals, has nothing to with Russia, it has to do with my work in Israel.”

BY JERUSALEM POST STAFF

George Papadopoulos, formerly an aide to US President Donald Trump’s campaign for president, said he was never questioned by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team with regard to Russia, only work related to Israel, calling it the “key” to his case.

“What I was really targeted for by the Muller team and these individuals has nothing to with Russia, it has to do with my work in Israel and my work, actually, as an energy lobbyist,” he told Army Radio in an interview broadcast on Sunday. Continue Reading »

REPORT: Obama’s timing of anti-Israel UN resolution was to milk Jewish Donors

NY Times reports how the Obama White House always supported backing the UN Security Council’s anti-Israel Resolution 2334, but delayed its vote until after Jewish donors were secured for Hilary Clinton’s 2016 election bid.

By David Rosenberg

The Obama White House may have exerted more influence over a controversial anti-Israel United Nations resolution than previously believed, according to a new report by The New York Times.

In December 2016, following the 2016 presidential election, the Obama administration ordered the US mission to the UN to abstain from a Security Council vote on resolution 2334, which condemned Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem as ‘flagrant violations’ of international law with “no legal validity”. UN Human Rights Council adopts report charging Israel of war crimes

Having not entered Gaza or Israel during their ‘investigation’, and receiving no cooperation with the Israeli government, the UNHRC still adopted a report accusing only Israel of war crimes during Hamas’ year-long organized clashes with armed rioters along Gaza’s border with Israel.

By David Rosenberg

The United Nations Human Rights Council on Friday voted to adopt a report accusing Israel of human rights violations, including war crimes, for its response to violent riots and attacks on the Israeli border along the frontier with Gaza.

On Friday, the Council’s 40th session voted in Geneva by a margin of 23 to 9, with 14 abstentions and one absence, to adopt the 252-page report conducted by the Commission of Inquiry on the Protests in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Continue Reading »
