Israel Police recommend indictment of three Arab Knesset Members

With the investigation against Hanin Zoabi, Jamal Zahalka and Joumah Azbarga completed, the police say there is sufficient evidence collected on the three for multiple ethical & criminal charges, including falsifying documents on a regular basis to hide that they were receiving millions of shekels in illegal donations.

Police submitted on Tuesday its recommendation to indict three Balad MKs—Hanin Zoabi, Jamal Zahalka and Juma Azbarga—for a series of ethical criminal offenses.

The police have completed their investigation into the three parliamentarians, saying sufficient evidence has been collected to charge Zoabi, Zahalka and Azbarga with fraudulently obtaining benefits, falsification, money laundering, fraud and breach of trust, among others offenses.The Continue Reading »

A brawl broke out after Hamas supporter Zoabi accused Israel of ‘becoming a fascist state’ as her Birmingham audience accused the Palestinian MK of inciting violence.

A scuffle broke out between audience members after firebrand Arab Israeli lawmaker Hanin Zoabi (Joint List) said Israel was “becoming a fascist state” during a speech in Birmingham on Tuesday.

Zoabi delivered a controversial speech, comparing Israel to Nazi Germany, which sparked a brawl between hecklers from the audience who accused her of incitement.

“We must admit that Israel is becoming a fascist – began to have fascist laws. And a lot of critical Israelis describe Israel as, and compare Israel – and what I say here, and you record it, we say in Israel, we say it inside the Knesset – it is suitable to compare, logical to compare Israel, and this is a public opinion, with Germany in the 30s,” Zoabi said. Rabid anti-Israel Knesset Member intends to join new flotilla to Gaza

 

Arab MK Zoabi reportedly plans to join in a women-only ‘Freedom Flotilla’ to Gaza in mid-September.

MK Hanin Zoabi (Balad / Joint List) reportedly intends to join a flotilla to Gaza, some six years after she participated in a flotilla aboard the infamous Mavi Marmara, where terrorists prepared an ambush for Israeli commandos.

According to Channel 2 TV News’s website, the Freedom Flotilla will be an all-female endeavor, sailing in mid-September and expected to reach Gaza October 1.

Likud MK: No Classified Intel Discussed if Arab MKs on Committee

MK Yariv Levin states that ‘no one’ trusts Balad MKs with classified information, even when they’re serving on Knesset committees.

Any Arab MKs to join the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee in the 20th Knesset will not be privy to classified information, MK Yariv Levin (Likud) stated Thursday.

“The general committee will only hold discussions which do not contain classified information, whereas sub-committees will include classified intel,” he said, during an address at the Israel Democracy Institute in Tel Aviv Thursday.

“If a party insists on an MK being appointed to a committee, whether Jewish or Arab, they will get the spot, as established in the Knesset regulations,” Levin said.

The Zionist Camp, which only on Thursday announced it would support a petition filed with the Central Elections Committee to disqualify controversial Balad MK Hanin Zoabi from participating in the March 17 elections, has reneged, announcing Monday that it will not back the move.

Palestinian Arab-Israeli Member of Israel’s Knesset to face prosecution for allegedly inciting violence and insulting & harassing Arab-Israeli police officers.

Balad MK Hanin Zoabi will face prosecution pending a hearing for allegedly inciting violence and insulting a public official, the Northern District Prosecution informed Zoabi’s attorneys on Tuesday.

The Justice Ministry said the decision was made after receiving the prosecution’s recommendation to file an indictment against Zoabi and after Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein held several discussions regarding the issue with State Attorney Shay Nitzan and representatives from the State Prosecution and the Northern District Prosecution.

Israel’s Ministerial Legislative Committee to Discuss MK Shaked’s ‘Zoabi’s Law’

Bill to oust MKs guilty of incitement against the State during their current Knesset terms, if passed, will stop further anti-Israel MKs from their pro-terror endeavors.

The Ministerial Legislative Committee will hold a hearing on a special initiative from Jewish Home MK Ayelet Shaked Sunday, nicknamed “Zoabi’s Law.”

“Zoabi’s Law,” if passed, will amend existing laws allowing the Knesset’s Central Elections Committee to reject the re-application of current MKs for the next Knesset term if they are found guilty of incitement or supporting known terrorist groups.
