Israel Police: Sufficient evidence exists to investigate MK Zoabi for incitement

Attorney-General to decide on whether or not to begin official investigation into Palestinian MK over her comments on kidnapping of 3 Jewish teens.

The Israel Police have told Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein that there is sufficient evidence to begin investigating MK Haneen Zoabi (Balad) for incitement after she said the kidnapping of three teens in the West Bank earlier this month was not terrorism, the Israel Police confirmed on Monday.

“I didn’t break any law, rather, I am fulfilling my moral, human and political obligation to fight against oppression and for justice,” Zoabi said in response, adding that there is no law preventing her from honestly expressing her opinion, even if it is controversial.

20 masked Arab stone-throwers attack police on Temple Mount

 

8 Palestinian Al-Aqsa mosque rioters arrested during clash at Mughrabi Bridge at the end of Friday prayers.

About 20 masked Palestinians hurled stones at police forces at the Mughrabi Bridge at the end of Friday prayers on the Temple Mount.

Police forces managed to push the masked men into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, restored calm to the area and the dispersion of the worshippers from the complex continued as normal.

Eight of the stone throwers have been arrested.

Two weeks ago, the Temple Mount was closed for visitors following rioting of masked Palestinians, who were throwing stones at policeman and civilians and barricaded themselves in the Al-Aqsa mosque. Continue Reading »

Israel Police Raid Palestine TV studios in E. Jerusalem

 

An investigation into questionable network broadcasts of ‘incitement to violence’ got 3 staff members detained for questioning by Israel Police detectives.

Israeli police raided the East Jerusalem studios of Palestine TV on Friday and briefly detained three staff for questioning, a spokeswoman said.

“Police carried out searches at the headquarters of the television channel, as part of an investigation into the content of its programs,” spokeswoman Luba Samri told AFP.

New procedures now identify date rape drug for evidence

 

To this day, not a single indictment has been filed in Israel against someone suspected of using the drug since it left the body to quickly to be identified.

 

The women’s stories are always similar: They report waking up in hotel rooms, strange apartments or even in public bathrooms after an evening encounter that clearly ended in rape, but can remember absolutely nothing of what had transpired.

They are victims of what are commonly called “date-rape drugs” that were added to their food or drink without their knowledge.

Jerusalem Magistrates’ Court Judge Shmuel Herbst rejected early Friday afternoon a request by police to place two youths under house arrest for seven days, distance them from Jerusalem and slap them with a security deposit after they were caught putting up posters hostile to Pope Francis.

Following intelligence information received by Jerusalem police on plans by Muslim visitors to the Temple Mount to disrupt the public order at the end of their prayers, entrance to the holy site was limited to Muslim visitors.

Black Hebrews jailed after brutally attacking Policemen for ending noisy party

After the police confrontation over the  birthday party, Black Hebrews claim police called them ‘illegal migrants’, unaware some had served in IDF.

Members of the Black Hebrew community from Dimona accused the Israel Police of discriminating against them while breaking up a birthday party in south Tel Aviv, Channel 2 reported.

Report: Israel Police Ignore Temple Mount Disrespect & Damage

On the Temple Mount visitors are often witness to picnics, weddings – and soccer games, with Arab children competing in a sweaty, curse-filled game at the holiest site in Judaism. Many Jewish visitors have complained to authorities about this, with little intervention on the part of police.

Israel Police prevent terrorist-related gas explosion in Jerusalem neighborhood

3 apartment buildings in Jerusalem evacuated after residents notice 2 deliberately severed cooking-gas lines.

 

 

A massive gas explosion was narrowly averted Tuesday morning after residents of Armon Hanatziv reported high concentrations of leaking gas and subsequently discovered two deliberately severed gas lines to their building, police said.

According to a police spokesman, upon smelling the odorous gas several residents promptly contacted officers who arrived within minutes along with Magen David Adom and firefighting units to prevent an imminent and deadly blast.

“The pipes were intentionally cut which caused extreme danger, so police evacuated three buildings in the area and shut off the gas supply,” the police official said shortly after the incident. Continue Reading »

Police ascend Temple Mount, 3 Palestinian rioters arrested

A police force entered the area to disperse the rioters using crowd dispersal means, including stun grenades. Three rioters were arrested on suspicion they threw rocks and firecrackers at security forces.
