Celebrated Egyptian Muslim Scholar: There’s No Connection Between Islam & Temple Mount

 

Youssef Ziedan, Egypt’s most distinguished & acclaimed scholar of Arabic & Islamic studies has recently outraged the Arab world with his latest decorations that contradict radical Islamic politics.

Renowned Egyptian scholar Youssef Ziedan, a specialist in Arabic and Islamic studies, has given a series of interviews to Egyptian television stations of late, the purpose of which appears to be to anger his Muslim colleagues.

His main point has been to say that there is actually no connection between Jerusalem and ancient Islam. When Islam was founded during the 7th century, he says, Jerusalem was a holy city to the Jews, while the Mosque of Omar was not even built until 74 years after Muhammed’s death.

Egypt refuses arbitration decision: Pay Israel $1.76b in compensation for halting gas supply

 

Egyptian PM Sherif Ismail said it will appeal the ruling by the Int’l Chamber of Commerce within 6 weeks & a freeze to the current negotiations between Egyptian companies to import gas from Israeli fields.

The Egyptian government has refused to pay a fine of $1.76 billion to Israel over halting gas supplies and has ordered its oil and gas import authorities to freeze talks with Israel.

Greece Announced it Rejects EU Policy to Label Israeli Products

Once the home of suicide bombers, Jenin is now the quietest city in the West Bank after district leaders rushed to restore calm, because the residents realized their economic prosperity could end, since ‘an attack on Israelis is an attack against us,’ says local businessman.

United Nations approves Israel’s agriculture resolution despite Arab obstructions

Syrian media: Israel’s Air Force hit Scud Missile shipment near Damascus

 

State media reports Israeli jets struck Syrian Army SCUD ballistic missile convoy from a regime base just outside Syria’s capital, as well as fuel reserves.

Syrian state media on Friday reported that overnight the Israeli Air Force (IAF) conducted an airstrike on a regime army base just outside of Damascus, apparently striking a shipment of Scud missiles.

U.S. paratroopers and IDF’s Egoz in week long training in Israel

 

In a week-long training exercise held in Israel this week, 173 American paratroopers & hundreds of IDF soldiers from the elite Egoz unit participated in joint invasion drills & getting to know one another.

This week marked the end of a large scale joint infantry training exercise between the IDF and US military: The Israeli participants included hundreds of warriors from the Egoz guerilla warfare unit in the Golani Brigade, while the Americans sent 173 paratroops from the US European Command.

1,300 yr-old olive press unearthed at Ancient Shiloh

 

Ancient Shiloh, the capital of Israel for 369 years & home of the Ark of the Covenant, was also the region’s main manufacturer of olive oil as seen by the large size of the press and its proximity to a similar one found in 2011.

A 1,300-year-old public olive press was unearthed recently at the Ancient Shiloh archaeological park, in the Binyamin region of Judea and Samaria. The olive press is proof that aside from being the capital of ancient Israel for 369 years and housing the Ark of the Covenant, Shiloh was also the region’s main manufacturer of olive oil.
