102 from India’s ‘Bnei Menashe’ officially join Israeli society

After spending the past 3 months in an absorption center, the Bnei Menashe immigrants from the northeastern Indian state of Mizoram will now settle in Nazareth Illit in the Galilee, where they will begin to build their new lives in the Jewish state.

One hundred two members of the Bnei Menashe Jewish community will officially join Israeli society on Monday, May 15.

The new Bnei Menashe immigrants arrived in Israel from the northeastern Indian state of Mizoram in February. Mizoram borders Burma and Bangladesh and is home to the second-largest concentration of Bnei Menashe in India after that of the state of Manipur. Continue Reading »

India to Deploy Israeli Air Defense System, Manufacture Both Tavor21 & Galil Assault Rifles

 

Due to tensions along India’s western border, a successful test of the Israeli surface-to-air Python and Derby (Spyder) missile system at Chandipur-on-sea was conducted on Thursday, destroying a British made drone.

The Spyder is set to replace India’s age-old air defense system, the Soviet-era Osa-AKM and 9K35 Strela-10, at six air bases and other critical locations along the western border.

Abbas incited further as Palestinian Authority honors mother of 4 imprisoned terrorists

PMW REPORT:  Palestinian autocrat Mahmoud Abbas himself received relatives of terrorist prisoners at his office to honor and promote  imprisoned terrorists as one of the PA’s main concerns.

The current hunger strike held by imprisoned Palestinian terrorists gave the Palestinian Authority (PA) another opportunity to promote one of its female role models, Um Nasser Abu Hmeid, reports Palestinian Media Watch.

Jordanian terrorist shot dead Saturday after knife-attack on Policemen in Jerusalem’s Old City

 

Israel policeman who was stabbed, responded, shot & killed 57 yr-old Jordanian terrorist near the Lions’ Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City, before being taken to Shaare Tzedek hospital in moderate condition. Another policeman was lightly injured and treated on site.

A 37-year-old police officer was moderately injured by a terrorist stabbing in the area of the Lions’ Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem. The police said that the terrorist was shot and later pronounced dead. REPORT: ‘Abbas has agreed to reach a peace deal with Israel’

 

Abbas has said that he would renew peace-talks under Trump’s auspices without preconditions, unlike in the past when he had refused to negotiate with Netanyahu until there was first a cessation to settlement construction and prisoners released from incarceration.

Filipina woman volunteers for same IDF unit that rescued her grandmother

 

Not an Israeli citizen or even Jewish, Joana Chris Arpon was honored by Israel’s president as one of the Jewish State’s most outstanding soldiers after she volunteered to serve in the IDF search and rescue unit that was dispatched to the Philippines in 2013.

Palestinians outraged FIFA Congress tabled anti-Israeli decision

 

For refusing to rule against Israel, FIFA Congress came under attack by Palestinian football chief Jibril Rajoub, who told  delegates, ‘We are looking for full recognition of our right that no Israeli clubs play in our territory.’

The Palestinian Football Association on Thursday accused FIFA of succumbing to “political pressure” following its decision to postpone a ruling on the contentious issue of Israeli clubs playing in the West Bank.

“We are disappointed that FIFA has decided to allow political pressure to win over the FIFA statutes,” it says in a statement, after FIFA’s annual Congress voted to back — by a majority of 73 to 27 percent — a proposal that pushed football’s governing body to report by March 2018. Marc Zell, the co-chair of Republicans Overseas in Israel, on Wednesday said there was no truth to the reports that President Donald Trump had decided that the United States Embassy in Israel would remain in Tel Aviv.

Indian Warships Anchored at Haifa Port Ahead of Historical 1st Visit By India’s PM

 

India’s three warships arrived at Haifa Port Tuesday, and during their stay the ships & crew will engage extensively with the Israel Navy, including in both professional and social engagements, marking 25 years of diplomatic ties.

Three Indian Navy warships arrived at Haifa Port on Monday for a three-day visit as part of that nation’s overseas deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and West Coast of Africa.

The ships, from the Mumbai- based Indian Navy Western Naval Command, are: the INS Mumbai, a guided-missile destroyer; INS Trishul, a stealth-missile frigate; and INS Aditya, a tanker.

Netanyahu, AIPAC mum over U.S. Congress’ Taylor Force Act

 

Israeli leaders, along with AIPAC are maintaining their neutrality by not commenting on Congressional bill that would defund the Palestinian Authority over its monthly payments scheme to families of murderers of Israelis.

WASHINGTON — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Washington’s largest Israel advocacy organization are withholding support for a Senate bill that would defund the Palestinian Authority over its “martyr” compensation scheme, which provides the families of convicted murderers and terrorists in Israel with monthly stipends.

Greek Orthodox Bishop spreads more hate filled yarn of Jewish world domination in another of his anti-Semitic tirades, this time after being withdrawn by his Church from a Jerusalem visit.

A Greek Orthodox bishop has been sharply criticized by the local Jewish community after he made a series of antisemitic remarks following the Church’s refusal to send him as its representative to the Easter Festival of the Holy Fire at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.

Palestinians rally to boycott Pizza Hut for Israeli ad mocking their cheating leader

 

After the Israeli Pizza Hut franchise poked fun at the jailed Palestinian terrorist on Facebook, for eating candy bars in his cell despite initiating a massive hunger strike, Palestinians called for a boycott.
– Israeli company deleted the mocking post, with int’l management issuing an apology.

Palestinians are calling for a boycott of Pizza Hut following a Facebook post by the chain’s Israeli branch that poked fun at terrorist Marwan Barghouti for breaking his hunger strike by secretly sneaking candy bars in his cell.
