‘Anti-Semitic’ Arab Group Loses Funding From Canadian Court – Again

 

Canada’s Appeals Court upholds the Federal Court’s decision in 2014 backing the government decision to withdraw funding from Canadian Arab Federation over its ‘anti-Semitic’ activities, and its support for terrorism.

Canada’s Federal Court of Appeals= has supported the government’s decision to cut off funding for an Arab group accused of supporting terrorism and anti-Semitism.

The Canadian Arab Federation (CAF) was given one million dollars each year for teaching English to new immigrants until 2009. Former Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney ended the payments at that time, claiming that the group’s leaders publicly supported Hamas and Hezbollah, and promoted anti-Semitism, the National Post reports.

Berlin warns Facebook: Clamp down on Holocaust denial – It’s illegal in Germany

 

In an interview with Reuters, Justice Minister Maas confirmed a letter was sent to Facebook, telling them they must abide by German laws banning racist content, even if it might be allowed in the US under freedom of speech.

Facebook will have to abide by German laws banning racist sentiment even if it might be allowed in the United States under freedom of speech, Justice Minister Heiko Maas said in an interview with Reuters.

Maas, who has accused Facebook of doing too little to thwart racist and hate posts on its social media platform, said that Germany has zero tolerance for such expression and expects the US-based company to be more vigilant.

Israel’s Shin Bet Foils Attempts of Smuggling Rocket Making Materials to Gaza

French Christian Tourist Hospitalized After Muslims Attacked on Temple Mount

The day following the Palestinian attack on a French tourist, Muslim & Arab Christian Palestinian leaders alike, issued a formal statement (absurd as it is) denying any Jewish connection to Jerusalem’s holy site.

A Christian tourist from France was assaulted by Muslims atop Jerusalem’s Temple Mount on Tuesday after waving an Israeli flag at Judaism’s holiest site.

Palestinian women paid to harass and obstruct non-Muslim visitors on the Temple Mount.

Video footage of the incident showed the Christian man being mobbed by at least four assailants who beat him about the head with stones. His life was likely saved by Israeli police forcibly intervening and escorting the bloodied tourist from site. Continue Reading »

Israel Interior Minister Plans to Bring 7,000 Ethiopian Jews to Israel

Israel’s Interior Minister: The 7000 family members of 500 Ethiopian-Israeli IDF soldiers who are still waiting to come to Israel, will be brought ‘home’.

Families of some 500 Ethiopian Israeli IDF soldiers will be brought to Israel, announced Interior Minister Silvan Shalom at a joint meeting between the Immigration, Absorption, and Diaspora Committee and the Interior Committee at the Knesset on Monday.

In addition to immediately working to bring the 500 families of the soldiers, Shalom also announced his intent to bring the rest of the Jewish Ethiopian community to Israel, numbering some 7,000 people.

US Attorney-General Loretta Lynch: No Interference with Pollard’s release

US Attorney-General Loretta Lynch said on Saturday that the US Justice Department would not interfere in the process of releasing Israeli-American spy Jonathan Pollard.

Speaking at an Aspen Security Forum, Lynch said that Pollard has served enough time in prison to be released pending a parole board review.

Pollard likely to be released November 21, after 30 years of incarceration

Having served 30 years behind bars, & unrelated to the Iran nuclear deal, it’s highly likely that Pollard will be paroled this Fall, reports The Algemeiner.

The United States is considering releasing Jonathan Pollard this Fall on November 21st – the day of his parole eligibility – The Algemeiner reported Friday.

Pollard, who was sentenced to life in prison in the United States in 1987, will be 61 years old with his supposed release, having served 30-years behind bars.
