Another Palestinian work-accident: 4 terrorists killed in Gaza while making bomb

Explosion occurred just hours after the Israel Air Force struck targets in the Strip for firing mortars into Israel, killing three terrorists.

 

Four Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in a house explosion in the northern Gaza Strip village of Beit Hanoun, in what local officials have termed a work accident.

The ruling Hamas movement reported on its website that the four were activists in its Izz a-Din Al-Qassam military wing, and said that their bodies were transferred to a hospital in Gaza.

Kassam rocket fired by terrorists from Gaza lands in an open area in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council without causing injury or damage.

Gaza-based terrorists fired a Kassam rocket at southern Israel on Tuesday evening.

The rocket exploded in an open area in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council, causing no physical injuries or damages.

Residents of Sderot and the surrounding area reported that they heard the “Red Alert” siren before the rocket exploded.

Tunisia port dropped by Norwegian Cruise Lines over anti-Israeli discrimination

Norwegian Cruise Lines dropped Tunisia from its itineraries after the country refused to allow Israeli citizens to disembark in the Port of Tunis.

About 20 Israelis were quietly told before disembarking from the Norwegian Jade over the weekend that they were not welcome per the Tunisian government.

The cruise line’s decision to drop Tunisia was first reported by Cruise Critic, an online cruise information site.

Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces spread a false story on Tuesday, claiming to AFP that IDF forces had opened fire on a car driven by Arab residents near the western Samaria town of Tulkarem, killing one. The death turned out to have simply been a traffic accident.

The initial report claimed IDF bullets or a car crash resulting from the “shooting” killed the driver and injured the passenger. It added that the car veered off the road as a result of gunfire. Continue Reading »

IAF Airstrike Kills 3 Gaza Terrorists After Firing Mortars on Israel

Three Islamic Jihad terrorists killed by Israeli Air Force strike after they fired mortars at Israeli soldiers.

Three people were killed in an Israeli Air Force (IAF) strike in southern Gaza, according to medics quoted by AFP Tuesday.

Al Arabiya said that the strike took place in southern Gaza.

“Three martyrs have died in a Zionist (Israeli) strike east of Rafah,” Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra told AFP.

The IDF Spokesman’s Unit announced that the people killed were terrorists from the Islamic Jihad organization. They had fired mortar shells at IDF soldiers performing “routine operational activities” in the Kerem Shalom area. Continue Reading »

President Shimon Peres met on Monday morning with Finance Minister Yair Lapid to discuss the latter’s thoughts about the impending vote in the Knesset on the the enlistment bill, which will see hareidi yeshiva students become eligible for the draft for the first time in Israel’s history. In the meeting, Peres expressed his concern for the hareidi community’s feelings on the matter telling Lapid that he should go “a bit easier” on them.
