Under pressure from Jewish organizations, members of the University of California’s governing board Thursday called for an overhaul of a proposed set of system-wide principles against intolerance, saying it should explicitly address anti-Semitism.

About two dozen people gave input to the board of regents at their meeting at UC Irvine about the proposed “Statement of Principles Against Intolerance,” a broad declaration that free speech advocates contended would amount to censorship. Continue Reading »

Survey: European Jews Afraid to be Recognized as Jewish

 

Record breaking number of anti-Semitic inspired acts of violence has manifested into overt fright with over 85% of European Jewry not attending Rosh Hashana services this year, for fear of possible anti-Semitic repercussions.

An alarming majority of Jews living in Europe today are afraid to reveal their Jewishness, a survey carried out by the Rabbinical Centre of Europe(RCE) published on Tuesday found.

The data indicates a severe erosion in the sense of security felt by European Jews.

Belgian Police Investigate EU Official After Directing Anti-Semitic Diatribe At Coworker 

 

 

A European Union official is the subject of a probe by  Belgian police after he allegedly physically and verbally attacked a co-worker, calling her a “dirty Jewess,” during an anti-Semitic diatribe. The Belgian League against anti-Semitism (LBCA) said Thursday that it had filed a complaint against 45-year-old Maltese official Stefan Grech, who is president of an EU labor union called Generation 2004, after the 50-year-old Italian complainant reached out to the organization, providing it with copies of the complaint she filed, as well as testimony from a friend and witness. Canada’s Federal Court of Appeals= has supported the government’s decision to cut off funding for an Arab group accused of supporting terrorism and anti-Semitism.

The Canadian Arab Federation (CAF) was given one million dollars each year for teaching English to new immigrants until 2009. Former Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney ended the payments at that time, claiming that the group’s leaders publicly supported Hamas and Hezbollah, and promoted anti-Semitism, the National Post reports.

Fans of the controversial Beitar Jerusalem team shocked the Israeli sports community after a small confrontation with fans of a rival team sparked a violent display at a game in Belgium Thursday night.

BBC Admits Mistranslation That Hid Indoctrination of Palestinian Anti-Semitism

In a bias anti-Israel documentary, the BBC deliberately mistranslates Palestinian children’s hateful & racist comments about ‘Jews’ to make them appear acceptable.

Even before the BBC’s new documentary on last summer’s war in Gaza airs, the broadcasting organization has admitted that it distorts the truth in order to make the Palestinians appear more sympathetic.

The documentary, entitled “Children of Gaza,” aims at depicting how Operation Protective Edge affected children living in and around the Gaza Strip.

The program has not yet aired, but according to the Jewish Chronicle the Palestinians’ testimonies were mistranslated in order to cover up frequent anti-Semitic comments.

An anti-Semitic neo-Nazi rally was held in central London Saturday, amid tight security and after weeks of speculation and tensions.

But after a dramatic build up the anti-Semitic initiative turned out to be a damp squib. Some two dozen Nazi demonstrators were vastly outnumbered by around 200 Jewish and anti-fascist counter-protesters, and a phalanx of police officers deployed to ensure no violence erupted.

The demonstrators emphasized their hatred of Jews by carrying Palestinian flags.
