The Ministry of Defense’s new wheeled armored personnel carrier (APC), known as the ‘Eitan,’ has finished its first round of operational testing with the Nahal Infantry Brigade, which will be the first IDF combat unit to make use of the new vehicle.

Hamas hacks IDF cell phones by suckering soldiers with phony accounts

 

After posing as beautiful young women, Hamas operatives successfully hacked IDF soldiers’ cell phones to acquire intelligence by photographing and listening in on IDF forces near the Gaza border.

As part of the Hamas’ internet espionage activities, the terrorist organization’s cyber collections unit managed to hack dozens of cell phones belonging to IDF combat soldiers in an attempt to gather intelligence for military operations and preparations on the Gaza border.

Investigations by the Shin Bet and the IDF’s Information Security Department and Cyber Defense Unit discovered that dozens of cell phones belonging to soldiers and officers in both active and reserve duty had been hacked by Hamas.

IDF busts large illegal weapons-making facility in Hebron basement

 

In addition to the 15 lathes, Israel’s security forces discovered 70 barrels full of assorted ammunition for M16’s, Carlo Gustav and other automatic weapons, found hidden in the basement walls.

 

Security forces seized the largest weapons manufacturing factory this year overnight between Sunday and Monday in Hebron, a senior IDF officer said Monday morning.

The facility, found in the basement of a family house, included 15 lathes used to produced weapons components.

A Palestinian Arab, who quickly charged a security guard with knife drawn, was neutralized during his attack by an alert IDF soldier at a Jerusalem checkpost.

The Defense Ministry announced Thursday plans to acquire hundreds of Trophy tank protection systems in a deal estimated at hundreds of millions of shekels.

Trophy, also known as Windbreaker, is an active tank protection system designed to intercept and destroy incoming anti-tank missiles and rockets with a shotgun-like blast.

Palestinian terrorist neutralized during stabbing attack in Samaria

 

IDF solider unhurt as the Palestinian terrorist’s thrust of his screwdriver failed to penetrate the soldier’s protective vest.

An Arab terrorist attacked IDF soldiers in Samaria Wednesday morning, attempting to stab them with a screwdriver.

The attacker was shot and neutralized during the incident, which took place between Tapuah Junction and the Arab village of Hawara, near the Jewish community of Yitzhar.

The wounded terrorist was treated on the scene by emergency responders.

While the terrorist managed to stab one soldier at the scene, the screwdriver failed to penetrate the soldier’s protective vest.

IDF fortifies defenses on northern border with Lebanon
