REPORT: Israel Air Force attacked Lebanon

According to reports from Lebanon, IAF attacked 2 targets leaving a number injured in the mountain rages of Jatamansi Arsel near the Lebanese-Syrian border.

Lebanese media outlets reported that IDF battle planes attacked today twice in the mountain rages of Jatamansi Arsel near the Lebanese Syrian border.

According to the reports, a number were injured in the incident.  There is no confirmation for this incident from an Israeli source.

‘Lebanese homes in border villages won’t be standing after next Israel-Hezbollah war’

Israel remains silent on security cooperation with Lebanese military

 

Despite being technically in a state of war, Jerusalem says IDF is prepared to work together with Lebanon’s armed forces to fight against Sunni Islamist militants.

Israel’s military said on Wednesday it was exploring the possibility of cooperating with the Lebanese army to counter Sunni Islamist militants, even though the two countries remain technically at war.

Israel confirms Lebanese report: IDF UAV crashes in southern Lebanon

 

 

IDF spokeswoman confirms reports which 1st surfaced in Lebanese media, that an Israeli drone went down and says the IDF is investigating circumstances of crash.

An Israeli drone crashed in Lebanon on Saturday morning, an IDF spokeswoman confirmed. The plane crashed due to a technical malfunction during a regular surveillance mission along the northern border.

Media outlets in Lebanon first reported that a drone had fallen in the southern town of Marjayoun. The Beirut-based Al-Manar TV station, which is associated with Hezbollah, said the army had taken hold of the downed aircraft. Continue Reading »

Israel Police and the Shabak (Israel Security Service) announced Thursday that it had arrested several Arab-Israelis who are accused of aiding and abetting Hezbollah terrorists. The investigation into the detainees went on for several months, and they were arrested on July 27, the announcement said.

The Lebanese army has arrested the soldier who shot and killed IDF soldier Shlomi Cohen near the border on Sunday night, Moshe Yaalon said on Tuesday evening.

Yaalon’s comments were made during a tour of the Jordan Valley.

“This is a serious incident and the Lebanese government and the Lebanese army are responsible for this,” he declared, adding that there had been a meeting on Monday between the liaison officers of the Lebanese army and the IDF, attended by members of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), during which the Lebanese army reported the findings of its investigation of the shooting incident. UN Security Council condemned killing of IDF soldier by Lebanon

IDF representatives met with Lebanese Army officers & UNIFIL officials to discuss the incident.

 

JERUSALEM – The United Nations Security Council condemned the killing of an Israeli soldier by a rogue Lebanese soldier on the border between the two countries.

The Security Council in a statement released Monday night called the incident “a serious contravention of the existing operational rules and procedures as related to resolution 1701,” which ended the 2006 Second Lebanon War between Israel and Hezbollah.

Reports from within Lebanon indicate that Lebanese soldiers opened fire at an Israeli force that crossed the border in Rosh Hanikra.

No injuries or damage were reported as shot dirested at IDF troops patrolling border near Metulah.

IDF estimates teen-hunters from Lebanon’s side of border misfired weapons.

An IDF force patrolling the Lebanese border came under fire on Thursday. No injuries or damage were reported. It is estimated fire was opened by teen-hunters on the other side of the border. The troops fired back two bullets to the source of the fire.

Lebanon plans to file a lawsuit against Israel over its alleged spying activities, Iran’s  Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour as saying on Sunday.

“Lebanon is conducting serious investigations regarding the blatant Israeli violations of our sovereignty,” Mansour told Press TV.

Mansour accuses Israel of stationing “very sophisticated espionage devices” that enable it to “tap into both wired and wireless communication networks.”

Lebanon rejects rumors that imported Israeli tomatoes cause cancer

 

Lebanon’s newspaper, ‘Daily Star’: Media reports tomatoes  causing vomiting and fatigue

The report came after similar reports disparaging Israeli tomatoes in the Egyptian press earlier this week.

Lebanon’s Agriculture Ministry on Friday denied media reports that Israeli tomatoes on the Lebanese market were causing sickness and harm to local residents, The Daily Star reported.

The Star quoted the Ministry as saying it was responding to reports that Israeli tomatoes were causing vomiting and fatigue, and were injected with cancerous cells.

“Shipments of imported tomatoes haven’t entered the Lebanese market for one month and only local production is being consumed,” the ministry said in a statement.
