13 yr-old Palestinian boy arrested after loaded handgun found in school locker

 

According to Israel Police, the handgun was found, holstered with two loaded clips, in the Palestinian boy’s locker at his Jerusalem school after reports of suspicious activity there.

A pistol and two loaded cartridges belonging to a 13-year-old Palestinian boy from east Jerusalem were seized by police at an area school overnight Sunday. The boy has been placed under arrest.

While details of the investigation remain unclear, according to police, the gun was found in a holster in the boy’s locker at the unidentified Jerusalem school, after intelligence was received about suspicious activity there.

Israel Police to be equipped with personal body cameras

Israel Police started a pilot project to instill public trust in the police by equipping officers with body cameras, after having been proven to reduce violence between civilians and police.

The Israel Police started a new pilot project Wednesday whereby patrol officers and traffic officers will wear body cameras. The pilot will last between three and four months, with 150 officers throughout the country recieving the cameras.

The feedback provided by the cameras is expected to help refine police policy and make the police more efficient. The end goal is to have every patrol officer outfitted with a body camera. Continue Reading »

The Palestinian terrorist eliminated, after firing on a joint IDF, Israel Police & Shin Bet operation, has been identified in the media as 29 yr-old Muhammad al-Fakih.

A Palestinian in a Hamas terror cell involved in the death Rabbi Michael Mark of was killed during an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) operation overnight near the West Bank city of Hebron, Israel’s Channel 2 news reports.

“A terrorist behind the attack in which Rabbi Michael Mark was assassinated on July 1 was killed on Tuesday night during exchanges of fire with soldiers,” a statement from the IDF said.

The Palestinian killed has been identified in Palestinian media as 29-year-old Mohamed al-Fakih, from the village of Surif, to the north of Hebron. Continue Reading »

New rules of engagement for Israel Police allow live fire against some rock-throwers

 

In response to an NGO petition to the Lod District Court, it has been revealed that new security rules were put into place to combat the current 9-month long wave of deadly Palestinian violence directed against Israelis.

Portions of the police’s classified new intifada rules of engagement approved by then-attorney-general Yehuda Weinstein in September 2015 to combat a wave of violence have been publicized, the NGO Adalah announced on Monday.

A woman was killed in a fatal road accident near Beersheva yesterday (Sunday), after crashing into a caravan of camels which were roaming the roads unattended.

Likud MK Nava Boker on Wednesday reacted to the horrific rape of a 20-year-old mentally delayed Jewish girl in southern Tel Aviv two weeks ago, after police lifted a gag order on the arrest of two suspected Arab perpetrators and a hunt after the third Arab rapist.

In revealing the vile gang-rape, police noted that the three Arab attackers – one of whom is an Israeli citizen while the other two hail from Judea-Samaria – acted out of “nationalistic motives” and shouted racist slurs during the attack, which one of them video taped.

Jerusalem District Court Rejects Police Restrictions On Jews Raising Hands On Temple Mount

 

After Yehuda Etzion, a Temple Mount activist was barred from Judaism’s holiest site by local police because he happened to raise his hands as if ‘in prayer’, Jerusalem Court ruled that prohibiting such innocent gestures will lead to ‘slippery slope.’

The Jerusalem District Court accepted Monday the appeal of the Temple Mount activist Yehuda Etzion, and in canceling his expulsion from the holy site ruled that it was permitted to raise one’s hands while visiting there.
