Hamas rejects PA autocrat, Mahmoud Abbas’ conditions for elections

A Lebanese newspaper affiliated with the Hezbollah terrorist organization reports Hamas and the Islamic Jihad terror groups, both centered in Gaza, are not interested in holding elections based on the dictates of the PLO & Fatah leader, Mahmoud Abbas.

By Arutz Sheva Staff

The Palestinian Authority (PA) and Gaza factions rejected a new document proposed by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas regarding elections, due to conditions which they found unacceptable.

According to the Lebanese Al Akhbar newspaper, which is affiliated with the Hezbollah terror group, the document calls for elections to the “legislative” council to be held prior to the elections for the position of chairman and prior to a meeting between the various factions. Continue Reading »

A miscellany of Palestinian leaderships’ graft, skimming and misappropriations

Int’l donors don’t even bothering to track how their €billion$, earmarked for Palestinian humanitarian aid, is actually being misappropriated to fund enterprises run by Abbas’ 2 sons, skimmed to richen the inner PLO circle, embezzled by the most senior leaders and misused to perpetuate intolerance and fund terror.

By David Bedein  – The Palestinian Authority and its money

When it comes to humanitarian aid to the Palestinian Authority, transparency does not exist.

The result is a rich Palestinian elite which builds exclusive neighborhoods around Ramallah, leaving thousands of shoddily constructed apartments without services for the rest of Palestinian society.

Yasser Arafat set the tone for the PA when he arrived in Gaza in 1994. Continue Reading »

Palestinian leader threatens to end Oslo Accords with Israel, Again

The PA autocrat Abbas basically imposed self-irrelevance this past July by proclaiming how the Palestinian leadership decided to “halt work related to the agreements signed with the Israeli side;” Abbas is now repeating the ‘threat’ once again, should Netanyahu implement his promise to extend Israeli sovereignty into sections of Judea and Samaria.

All agreements signed between the Palestinians and Israel will end if Israel expands its sovereignty to the Jordan Valley and the Northern Dead Sea, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas warned on Tuesday.

Last July, Abbas announced that the Palestinian leadership has decided to “halt work related to the agreements signed with the Israeli side.” Continue Reading »

PA President Abbas forced to demand return of hushed bonuses

Amid possible bankruptcy, the PA documents that were leaked exposing how Abbas secretly rewarded his Cabinet members and associates with a 67% pay raise retroactive to 2014, has forced him to fire all his advisors in move to recoup millions he ‘undemocratically’ divvied out.

BY ROSSELLA TERCATIN

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas fired all his advisers “regardless of their title or ranking,” the Palestinian News Agency Wafa reported on Monday.

Furthermore, Abbas also abolished “the decisions and contracts related to them,” and suspended “the rights and privileges they received in their capacity.”

Palestinian officials told the Associated Press that this move was part of an effort to cut costs after Israel decided to deduct the amount of money that the PA gives to terrorists and their families from the taxes and tariffs Israel collects for the authority. Continue Reading »

PA autocrat Abbas: All signed agreements with Israel, terminated

By i24NEWS

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas declared Thursday that all signed agreements with Israel, including its ongoing security coordination in the West Bank, would be terminated over “all the violations against our people.”

Palestinian leadership proves it doesn’t care about having a viable state

Known for consistently rejecting a sovereign state at every opportunity, WHY is the Palestinian leadership rigorously sabotaging a record $50 billion economic infusion plan facilitated by the international community that would guarantee the economic viability of their future state?

By Phillip Pasmanick

Palestinian kleptocrat Mahmoud Abbas continues to rebuff the Trump Team’s creation of a “master fund” to administer the $50B plan that will implement monumental national projects modeled after the Marshall Plan (that rebuilt Europe after World War II) knowing full well it will reduce Palestinian poverty by 50% and bring down their sky-high unemployment rate to single digits. Mahmoud Abbas’ replacement: Another 70 yr-old, old-guard PLO ‘official’

So, why did Israel save the life of the ailing Palestinian kleptocratic autocrat, if he picked a successor that’s another hate-filled PLO official much like himself & Arafat?

By Ryan Jones

Mahmoud Abbas has been a thorn in Israel’s side. He’s refused for the past several years to negotiate with Israeli leaders, and continues to approve blatant incitement against the Jewish state in Palestinian schoolbooks, to list but a couple of his violations of signed peace agreements.

So, why did Israel rush to save the life of the Palestinian leader when he fell severely ill last year?

According to Israel’s Ynet news portal, in May 2018, Abbas got a severe ear infection which developed into pneumonia and other health complications. Continue Reading »

By KHALED ABU TOAMEH, TOVAH LAZAROFF

Abbas looks ‘irrelevant’ with absence in Gaza funding, now Hamas cease-fire

The United Nations, Egypt and Qatar are determined to achieve some sort of normalization in Gaza with or without Abbas’s consent; having reached the conclusion that Abbas is not going to change his position regarding Hamas, all three now negotiate directly with Israel and Hamas with his exclusion.
• In the eyes of many Palestinians, Abbas is the ‘bad guy’ who is punishing Gaza, while others, even Israel, are trying to end the crisis.

By KHALED ABU TOAMEH

As Hamas celebrated its “victory” after Tuesday’s ceasefire with Israel, with Israel, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is increasingly finding himself irrelevant on issues concerning the Gaza Strip. Continue Reading »

Kleptocrat tells UN: ‘Palestinian are peaceful people, it’s all Israel’s fault’

Between coughing bouts (choking on his lies), the Palestinian leader sounded desperate, even more ludicrous than during his previous addresses to the UN General Assembly, as Abbas blamed all the Palestinian woes on everyone else.

By Ryan Jones

You could hear the desperation in his voice.

Like a child caught red-handed in a mischievous act, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas was eager to blame someone else, anyone else.

Naturally, he started by blaming Israel, which he notably called a “colonial” enterprise, thereby reaffirming that he still does not recognize the inalienable right of the Jewish people to exercise sovereignty in their ancient homeland. Continue Reading »

Ignored by the Arab world, Abbas finally gets it: Fighting Trump was a mistake

PA officials in Ramallah tick off long list of US actions taken in response to Abbas’ intransigent posture. Abbas tells underlings to end attacks on Trump administration, shelves a speech criticizing anti-Palestinian acts by Trump administration, for upcoming U.N. General Assembly.

By Daniel Siryoti

A series of recent U.S. steps against the Palestinian Authority have infuriated the Palestinian leadership, but the outrage directed at the U.S. administration has been amplified by growing criticism directed at Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who has made “every possible mistake” since President Donald Trump entered the White House, according to a senior Palestinian official who spoke to Israel Hayom. Trump to Palestinians: Biting the hand that feeds you no longer works

Trump Admin explains why it’s changing the unsuccessful 40 year-old paradigm in search of peace, while trying to explain to an unappreciative Palestinian leadership that, “Nobody is entitled to America’s foreign aid.”

By Israel Today Staff

Despite being wholly dependent upon the goodwill of Israel, the Arab states and Western power-brokers, the Palestinian Authority has seemingly done its best to alienate each and every one.

It’s ironic, considering that much of the Palestinian leadership’s diplomatic efforts are focused on isolating Israel.

Israel’s reasons for distrusting the Palestinian Authority are clear. And numerous statements by Arab leaders across the Middle East in recent years reveal that they don’t think very highly of Mahmoud Abbas and his regime, even if they remain committed to the “Palestinian cause.” Continue Reading »
