Arrested Hamas militant gives details about Gaza’s tunnel network to Israel

Israel’s Shin Bet arrest Hamas operative who confessed to his involvement in terror tunnel planning, attacks, and much more from Gaza.

The IDF revealed Tuesday that Israeli security forces had arrested a militant of the Hamas terror organization who was actively involved in plotting tunnel attacks from the Gaza Strip.

Rafah resident Ibrahim A’adel Shahada Shaer, 21, was arrested in early July as part of a joint Shin Bet [Israel Security Agency] and Israeli police operation, the IDF spokesperson said in a statement.

Shaer gave interrogators a plethora of detailed information regarding Hamas’ terror activities in Rafah, including how Hamas planned attacks during conflict and its intentions to use terror tunnels to carry out attacks against Israel civilians. Continue Reading »

Israel’s Shin Bet Nabs Hezbollah Recruiter at Ben Gurion Int’l Airport

A Swedish citizen of Lebanese descent was arrested after a joint investigation from the Israel Security Agency (ISA or Shin Bet) and the Lahav 433 anti-fraud unity last month, it was cleared for publication Sunday, in light of concerns that the citizen may have been working with Hezbollah.

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) revealed Monday that the men were arrested over the past two months.  They allegedly took part in secret meetings in which they discussed Islamic State doctrine, and spread the group’s propaganda among their family members and associates.

Israel Rescinds Travel Permits to Gaza After Multiple Terrorist Attacks

Israel said Wednesday it was revoking permits for hundreds of Palestinian Arabs living in Judea and Samaria to visit relatives in Gaza after a series of terror attacks on Israelis – several of them fatal.

The announcement by COGAT, the agency that manages civilian affairs between Israel, the PA, and Gaza was the latest reversal to measures easing movement for Palestinians during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. Earlier Tuesday, COGAT announced it would tighten access of Palestinian Arabs to the Temple Mount.

The Jerusalem District Court convicted three Arab residents of Jerusalem of conspiring to carry out a terror attack Tuesday, after they were found to have planned an attack on a wedding hall in the Bayit Vegan neighborhood.

The three, named as Anas Awisat, Basel Abidat and Ahmed Sorour, were arrested last month following a joint operation by the Israel Security Agency (ISA or Shin Bet) and the Israel police.

According to Channel 10, the three had been planning on dressing up as hareidi Jews before entering the hall, disguised as guests, and then shooting everyone inside.

Several hours after the attack, roughly a dozen young Arab suspects from the nearby town of Kfar Azoun were arrested, according to the ISA report.

The suspects include Jenin resident Yasmin Sha’aban, who was the designated suicide bomber. She planned to wear an explosive belt hidden under her clothes while disguised as a pregnant Jewish woman. Sha’aban intended to obtain an entry permit into Israel for medical reasons and use it to carry out a suicide attack in the Tel Aviv area.
