As EU demands labeling settlement products, Israeli wines expand to Asia & South America

 

Israeli wine & spirits exports grew to $39 million in 2015, a 6% increase compared to 2014, with new int’l markets opening up, the buyers keen on Israel’s variety & high quality.

As the Israeli wine industry continues to expand, more international markets are opening up to the variety of wines that Israel’s winemakers have to offer.

The 2016 Sommelier Wine Exhibition, organized by the Israel Export Institute (IEI) featured 80 different Israeli wineries that displayed their goods in Tel Aviv’s Culture Palace on Wednesday, January 27. Major General Yoav Mordechai, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), on Wednesday night gave an interview to the Palestinian Arab Ma’an news agency, in which he discussed Hamas’s terror tunnels.

IDF Combat Engineering Corps troops have been filmed scouring the Gaza border area in an attempt to discover possible tunneling activity by Hamas, in a video shared among Gazans on Wednesday.

eBay ignores serious security flaw exposed by Israeli cybersecurity firm

 

Despite being alerted by Israeli firm of flaw leaving 160 million worldwide  users vulnerable to malware & phishing attacks, eBay says it “has no plans to fix” the problem.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry reacted to what it called a “horrible headline” that the American CBS news outlet composed following a Jerusalem terror attack on Wednesday.

DEA bust Hezbollah network using drug money to acquire Syrian weapons

 

One of those arrested & taken into custody by the DEA is a Lebanese money launderer for Hezbollah’s financial arm, and the US Treasury added two Lebanese men to its sanctions blacklist, saying they also laundered money for the Shiite terrorist organization.

Eighth Terrorist Dead After Another Hamas Terror-Tunnel Collapses in Gaza

 

Only a week after 7 Palestinian terrorists were killed digging a Gaza terror-tunnel when it collapsed due to heavy rainfall, another incident yesterday killed yet another Hamas terrorist.

A member of Hamas’s “military arm,” the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, has died after an underground tunnel collapsed in the Gaza Strip Tuesday.

The terrorist was identified by Hamas’s Al Aqsa TV station as 23-year-old Khaider a-Zahar.

His death was formally announced after numerous Palestinian media outlets reported that one person was missing and eight others injured after the tunnel collapsed earlier this evening.

It comes just one week after seven other Hamas terrorists were killed under similar circumstances, when the tunnel they were in collapsed as a result of heavy rainfall. Continue Reading »

The Women of the Wall organization, the Reform and Conservative movements in Israel and North America as well as political leaders in Israel and the Diaspora hailed the agreement approved on Sunday to formally designate a prayer area for non-Orthodox prayer at the Western Wall.
