IDF contractors begin construction of above-underground Gaza border wall

 

With a budget of $526 million, work just began constructing an above/below-ground barrier on Israel’s border with Gaza, beginning primarily opposite Israel’s border communities.

The Czech Republic reconsiders, deciding not to be influenced by inciters by carry out its previous decision to replace Jerusalem with Tel Aviv as the capital of Israel in school textbook maps.

Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat celebrated the decision of the Czech government not to cave to Palestinian pressure and show Tel Aviv – not Jerusalem – as the capital of Israel in school textbooks, after it had declared it would do so a week ago.

Palestinian Official: Jews Are Desecrating Jerusalem With Wine

The Muslim world refuses to acknowledge the religious and historical connection Jews have to Jerusalem, and so are quick to condemn Israel for “desecrating” the holy city at every opportunity.

For example, the head of the Palestinian Authority’s Committee for Education, Culture and Science has publicly decried the annual Jerusalem Wine Festival being held this week at the Art Garden of the Israel Museum and at the open-air Mamilla Mall adjacent to the Old City.

The Palestinian official, Murad Al-Sudani, said the wine-drinking Jews represented a “dangerous provocation,” especially those at the Mamilla venue, which is partially situated over an ancient Muslim cemetery. Continue Reading »

Britain is to start building a wall in the northern French port of Calais to stop migrants jumping on trucks, under a deal agreed earlier this year, the interior ministry said on Wednesday.

2nd Temple floor tiles reconstructed from debris discarded by Palestinians

 

Israeli Archaeologists reconstructed decorative tiles from Second Temple period using the discarded multi-colored tiles with geometric designs that were a gift from Roman Caesar Augustus to King Herod, known to have adorned the Temple compound and surrounding buildings.

Striking in their modernity: Researchers have completed the first-ever reconstruction of archaeological elements from the Second Temple — a number of floor tiles that are believed to have adorned the porticos that surrounded the Temple compound, and possibly other important structures in the area, as well.

AIRPORT ANNOUNCEMENT: ‘Air Serbia’s Flight to Palestine Leaving From Gate C3’

 

At the Serbian Int’l airport Israelis waiting to return home from Belgrade were shocked to hear the gate announcement that their flight was to Palestine, and were told that Tel Aviv in fact, is not in Israel.

Land crew at Serbia’s Nikola Tesla International Airport in Belgrade has recently informed Air Serbia passengers flying to Tel Aviv that boarding had begun for the flight to “Palestine.”

An underground parking garage under construction in Tel Aviv collapsed Monday morning, leaving two dead and some 18 people injured. One of the dead was a 35-year-old man, according to Channel 10 Television.

The incident occurred in the Ramat Hahayal neighborhood in northern Tel Aviv, an area with a large number of hi-tech firms.

MDA emergency responders said one person was seriously injured in the collapse. Witnesses say he appeared to be in his mid-20s and was a worker at the site.

Palestinian terrorist shot dead in Jerusalem during vehicular attack

 

In an attempted vehicular terrorist attack Sunday night, the Palestinian driver was neutralize while attempting to run over Border Guard police in the Shuafat refugee camp in Jerusalem, leaving the passengers to be arrested afterwards.

A Palestinian vehicle leaving the Shuafat refugee camp in east Jerusalem attempted to run over Police and Border Police forces Sunday night in an attempted terrorist attack. There were no injuries to Israeli forces.

Gaza merchant was charged Sunday with an attempt to illegally smuggle diving equipment through Kerem Shalom checkpoint to an armed wing of Hamas. The indictment stated that he tried to smuggle diving equipment into the Gaza strip illegally and to sell it to the military wing of Hamas and that he transferred large quantities of sports equipment to the Hamas military wing.

IDF retaliates: Israel Air Force strikes Syrian source of mortars fired on Israel

Once again fighting between the sides in Syria has spilled over into Israel with a mortar shell exploding in the Golan Heights, requiring an IDF response by attacking Syrian artillery targets.

Following the “spillover firing” of a mortar from Syrian that landed in the Golan Heights, the IDF attacked on Sunday night Syrian army artillery. The shell fired into Israel was part of intra-national Syrian fighting, and it landed in an open area, not causing any injuries or damage.
