REPORT: Washington OK’ed hit on an Iranian Revolutionary Guard General

In a report from a Kuwaiti newspaper, the US gave clearance to assassinate Qassem Soleiman, a top Iranian general who commands the IRG Quds Force.

A report in the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida said that the United States gave clearance to assassinate Qassem Soleiman, the commander of the overseas branch of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Haaretz reported Monday.

The report, which was taken from a Kuwait newspaper,  comes amid massive waves of protests and acts of civil disobedience that are sweeping through the streets of Tehran and major cities across the Shiite republic. Continue Reading »

Israeli jets hit Hamas military compound in retaliation to rocket fired Monday evening

Holding Hamas accountable for all rocket attacks on Israel, IDF aircraft attacked a Hamas military compound in southern Gaza despite the rocket exploding in an open area, not causing injury or damage.

Israeli aircraft on Monday night attacked a military compound belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in southern Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.

According to the statement, the airstrike was carried out in response to earlier rocket fire directed at Israel.

Not one migrant entered Israel illegally in 2017, according to figures from the Border Crossings, Population and Immigration Administration. The figures mark a turning point in the fight against illegal immigration in the country.

17 yr-old Palestinian poster child indicted, with mom & cousin for assaulting soldiers

Ahed Tamimi, the 17 yr-old Palestinian blond, blue-eyed poster child, known for inciting violence with IDF soldiers ‘for the camera’, was charged with aggravated assault, incitement, hindering a soldier in the line of duty, threatening a soldier’s life and stone-throwing after attacking 2 IDF soldiers who refused to react to her vocal & physical abuse in Nabi Salih, along with her mother & cousin.

Palestinian teenager Ahed Tamimi, 17, and her mother Nariman were indicted on Monday for assaulting IDF soldiers in the West Bank village of Nabi Salih.

IDF strikes multiple Hamas targets in Gaza following rocket attack on Southern Israel

Israel Police confirmed that the third rocket fired struck an Israeli community, hitting a building in the Negev region bordering the Gaza Strip, causing damage but no injuries.

Three rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israel on Friday morning, the IDF said, adding that two of the rockets were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system.

Israel Police confirmed that a third rocket struck an Israeli community in the Negev region bordering the Gaza Strip, causing damage to a building but no injuries. Police bomb disposal experts are working at the scene.

Israel TV10 reports Jerusalem, Washington sign secret MOU to counter Iranian threat

According to Channel 10news, US and Israel’s intelligence services reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding to counter all Iranian threats, from their nuclear program to terrorism.

Israel and the United States signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cooperate to counter the Iranian nuclear and ballistic missile threat, according to a report by Channel 10 News.

According to the report, the MOU was signed on December 12 at the White House following discussions between Israeli and US intelligence officials.

Some of the Palestinian rhetoric in response to US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem has been “ugly, needlessly provocative and antisemitic,” US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman told The Jerusalem Post.

Friedman, a leading force behind Trump’s decision three weeks ago to recognize Jerusalem and move the US embassy there from Tel Aviv, characterized the Palestinian reaction as “largely emotional,” saying they “unfortunately overreacted” because Trump made clear that the US was “not taking a position on any final status issues, including the specific boundaries of the Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem.” Continue Reading »

REPORT: Unemployment in Israel at historic low, consumerism rising

The Taub Center reports prices in Israel are still high and in many industries the productivity is still low, but increased employment rates & higher salaries “have led to an impressive rise in consumption in recent years and to an increase in the standard of living.”

Employment and salaries have risen and unemployment rates have fallen to a historic low over the past year, according to a new report released by the Taub Center for Social Policy Studies in Israel on Tuesday.
