Palestinians kill Israeli plan for railway link to Arab Gulf States

“Israel offered us the chance to participate in a railway scheme linking Haifa to Jenin to a number of Arab capitals,” the Palestinian Authority’s Civil Affairs Minister said on Twitter. “But we rejected the offer,” al-Sheikh said. “We won’t normalize relations with Israel.”

Palestinian official Hussein al-Sheikh rejected an Israeli offer to establish a railway link between Israel and several Arab states that would go through the West Bank on Friday.

The Polish government demanded Tuesday that Israel formally apologize for statements by the Israeli foreign minister it deemed “racist”, amid a worsening diplomatic row between the two countries.

Israel Police arrest 3 Bedouin thieves for poisoning, hanging farm dogs

The main defendant was arrested at his home in southern Israel; the 2nd and 3rd defendants, arrested soon afterwards, were all charged with killing 6 dogs, stealing 30 sheep and other property at the Ashkelon Magistrate’s Court.

Three people were indicted on charges of stealing 30 sheep from Yakhini, a moshav (rural community) in southern Israel, poisoning five dogs and strangling another dog to death, according to a report released by the Border Police spokesperson on Tuesday.

The indictment comes following an intensive investigation carried out by the Israel Police, Border Police, the Border Police Intelligence Center, and the National Center for Intelligence and Investigations of Agricultural Crime. Continue Reading »

Israel follows US in deducting ‘Pay to Slay’ funds by withholding $138 million

A Fatah breakaway group in the Gaza Strip claimed its members have intercepted a shipment of military boots equipped with “secret electronic tracking chips,” that were on their way to market, according to a Palestinian news source.

Joining Huckabee’s band for a rendition of Lynyrd Skynard’s classic 1973 song “Sweet Home Alabama”, Ambassador Friedman played guitar alongside Huckabee on bass guitar.

Holland now permits Palestinians to list Gaza, West Bank as birthplaces

According to the Dutch State Secretary, citizens with Palestinian origin will now be able to designate West Bank, East Jerusalem or Gaza as their ‘place of birth’ on their Dutch passports, after decades of being able to list only ‘Israel’ or ‘unknown’ as their country of origin.

The Netherlands will allow Palestinians born after the establishment of the State of Israel to list their official birthplace as the West Bank, Gaza Strip or East Jerusalem, Dutch State Secretary Raymond Knops said Saturday.
