Why are the Palestinian so afraid of a Palestinian state?

Abbas & Co. called the plan, “biased” because Trump’s peace plan demands the Palestinians stop killing Jews, respect Press, Religious, & Human Rights, adopt government transparency, and maintain a reliable judicial system to earn an endorsement for a Palestinian State.

By Boaz Bismuth

We live in historical times. The Arab Israelis, who have always been very suspicious of “occupying” Israel, now embrace Israeli rule and exclaim that they wish to remain part of Israel even if the Palestinians fulfill their national aspirations and see a state established.

US President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace plan has pledged many benefits for Israel and has set a series of preconditions the Palestinian must meet, including relinquishing all forms of terrorism and adopting proper governance practices. Continue Reading »

European Union High Representative scolds Israel, because EU didn’t

With a quarter of the EU states refusing to pass a resolution condemning Trump’s plan and Israel’s intention to annex the parts of Judea & Samaria [a.k.a. West Bank] included in the “Vision for Peace Conceptual Map,” the new EU foreign policy chief issues his own angry statement.

By Ryan Jones

Josep Borrell, the European Union High Representative (the title sounds more impressive than it really is), was clearly among those most offended by US President (now there’s a title with power!) Donald Trump’s Middle East peace proposal.

Earlier this week, Borrell urgently convened the EU to vote on a resolution condemning Trump’s plan and Israel’s intention to use it as a green light to annex large swaths of the so-called “West Bank.” Continue Reading »

Palestinian Militants Threaten People Not to Back Trump Plan on Pain of Death

WATCH: A new music video posted on the official Facebook page of Palestinian autocrat Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party warns the Palestinians of what will happen to them if they support Trump’s “Peace to Prosperity” plan.

By Ryan Jones

The Trump Administration has lamented that there are almost no voices of support for the “Peace to Prosperity” plan among the Palestinians.

Sure, the proposal leans toward Israeli security concerns and requires Palestinian compliance before any rewards are to be had. But it does contain quite a lot of reward for the Palestinians, including what are, quite frankly, unearned economic incentives.

But evidence suggests that it’s not so much the content of the plan that has precluded any support among the Palestinians. Continue Reading »

Palestinian official: ‘Abbas’ days are numbered’

Abbas’ rambling diatribe before the Arab League last week confirmed what most Arab leaders already knew – the 84-year-old autocrat can’t be in office for much longer – and those seeking to replace him are skirmishing for position.

By Daniel Siryoti, Israel Hayom

The relative indifference in the West Bank to the Palestinian factions calls for “days of rage” following the release of the Trump administration’s deal of the century stems from both the Palestinian people and top Ramallah officials understanding that any violent provocation will only undercut their interests, senior Palestinian sources told Israel Hayom on Monday.

The relatively calm routine in the West Bank allows European donors to continue funneling hundreds of millions of dollars into the Palestinian territories, thus allowing the Palestinians there to maintain normalcy despite any tensions with Israel. Continue Reading »
