Palestinian Autocrat Mahmoud Abbas Terminates Contacts With Israel

 

PA chairman announces he’s freezing all contacts “with the occupation state on all levels” because of the metal-detectors placed at the Temple Mount entrance, which he claims are “falsely presented as a security measure to take control over Al-Aqsa mosque.”

Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas announced on Friday he was freezing contacts with Israel over its new security measures at the Temple Mount.

Abbas said in a speech that the freeze would stay in place until Israel lifted the measures, reported the AFP news agency.

“I, on behalf of the Palestinian leadership, announce… a freeze of all contacts with the occupation state on all levels until Israel commits to cancelling all the measures against our Palestinian people in general and Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque in particular,” Abbas announced, to applause from Palestinian officials. Israel’s Security Fence Derails Tractor Theft

Having curtailed car-theft, now Israel’s security fence apparently foiled the plans of Palestinian thieves trying to drive their stolen tractor into the West Bank.

A tractor stolen from the central town of Karmei Yosef was found on Friday morning near the Ramallah-area Arab town of Budrus.

After receiving reports of the missing tractor, IDF and Border Police personnel began searching the area, finally finding the tractor near the security fence.

Initial investigations show that the thieves attempted to breach the security fence while traveling towards Judea and Samaria, but security forces and the fence apparently caused the thieves to abandon their loot. Continue Reading »

Intel Israel boon to local techies with added recruitment of 1,500 employees by 12/ 2018

Intel Israel CEO, Yaniv Garty says along with the expected recruitment of 1,500 new employees, currently 6,900 development workers and 3,300 production workers are employed.

Speaking at a tour of the technology company Intel’s factory in Kiryat Gat on Thursday, Intel Israel CEO Yaniv Garty noted that production of Intel’s newest generation of chips is scheduled to start by the beginning of 2018 and possibly earlier, and that by the end of 2018 about 1,500 new employees will be recruited.

Irish President Michael Higgins welcomed Omar Barghouti at a trade Union conference in Belfast, where the anti-Israel, BDS founder was the guest of honor.

Irish President Michael d. Higgins met on Thursday with the founder the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, Omar Barghouti, Ynet reported.

The meeting occurred at a trade Union conference in Belfast, where Barghouti was a guest of honor.

BDS victory against Israel….at the expense of the Palestinians

Barghouti was also received warmly in the city of Derry, which, earlier this year, adopted a BDS resolution.

Higgins has a long history of criticizing Israel.

Palestinian shot dead attempting to stab IDF soldiers in West Bank

Spurred by incitement from Palestinian leadership after Israel placed metal detectors to Temple Mount’s entrance, would-be Arab assassin was neutralized, unsuccessful in harming any of the soldiers.

A Palestinian assailant attempted to stab an IDF soldier stationed near the West Bank settlement of Tekoa on Thursday afternoon, the military confirmed.

Security forces shot and killed the would-be terrorist in response to the attempted attack.

Israel’s PM Netanyahu and President Rivlin feud over planned phone call with Erdogan

Following Erdoğan’s effort to reach out to Israel’s President Rivlin, the Prime Minister’s Office knowing of the Turkish leader’s position conveyed Netanyahu’s opposition to the planned conversation by objecting strenuously to any Turkish involvement in the current Temple Mount crisis.

An Israeli woman facing potential charges in Poland after she snatched artifacts from the former Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp for use in her college art project has insisted that she can “act according to her own laws.”

Removing items from the site, where more than one million people are estimated to have been murdered during the Holocaust, is strictly prohibited, a rule made clear by numerous signs dotted around the compound.

The IDF on Tuesday released two videos documenting Hezbollah operatives violating a U.N. Security Council resolution aimed at preventing the Shiite terrorist organization from maintaining a presence on the Lebanon-Israel border.

Security Council Resolution 1701, drawn up to resolve the 2006 Second Lebanon War, stipulated that only armed U.N. peacekeepers and the Lebanese army would be deployed in southern Lebanon.
