ICRC send ‘War Surgeons’ to deal with Gaza’s June ‘an-Naksah’ riots

The Red Cross will set up a 50-bed surgical unit at the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, just in time for the June 5th anniversary of the an-Naksah, or Arab ‘setback’ of the 1967 Six Day War, when even larger riots are expected to culminate at the Hamas built “return camps” located on Gaza’s border with Israel.

GENEVA – The International Committee of the Red Cross is sending two teams of war surgeons to Gaza and setting up a surgical unit in the enclave’s main hospital to treat heavy casualties from clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians.

Since protests on the Gaza-Israel border began on March 30, Israeli troops have killed 115 Palestinians and wounded more than 13,000 people, including 3,600 by live ammunition, Robert Mardini, ICRC’s director for the Near and Middle East, said. Continue Reading »

Assad tells interviewer: “There are no Iranian forces among us.”

Syrian President Bashar Assad has rebuffed claims of an Iranian military presence in his country, while accusing Israel of launching attacks on his territory and of propagating “lies” about its massive aerial offensive launched earlier in May.

US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley slammed the “the dangerous and destructive activities” of the Hamas terror group in Gaza on Wednesday afternoon during remarks made at a UN Security Council, during which she also accused its members of a “different” standard.

IAF fighter jets, attack helicopters, and aircraft struck 25 military targets belonging to the Hamas terror organization in Gaza overnight Tuesday, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.

The target strikes included sheds of drones used for terror purposes, a rocket manufacturing workshop, advanced naval weaponry, military compounds, training facilities, and a munitions manufacturing site.

“This is an additional strike against military targets belonging to the Hamas terror organization, which is accountable for activity from the Gaza Strip, and therefore is responsible for the severe attacks that were carried out against Israeli civilians,” said the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit in a statement. Tank shell kills Palestinian terrorist who shot at IDF soldiers from Gaza

One Palestinian terrorist dead, another left injured as a result of opening fire on IDF soldiers near the Gaza border Monday.

Terrorists opened fire at IDF soldiers stationed near the border with the northern Gaza Strip Monday.

In response, the IDF attacked three Hamas positions in Gaza with tanks and planes in Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip. It is possible that the some or all of the positions belong to the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization.
