Islamic Jihad vowed revenge on Sunday after Israeli tank fire killed three of is members after an IDF tank fired at the groups observation post in the Gaza Strip, in response to the detonation of an explosive device on the border fence earlier.

“IDF troops detonated an explosive device that was placed adjacent to the security fence in the southern Gaza Strip yesterday, with the intention of harming IDF soldiers who were present in the area,” an army statement said. Continue Reading »

NATO ships of war dock in Israel’s Haifa Port ahead of joint naval exercise

With Israel’s relationship with NATO now defined as a “partnership,” the anchoring of their ships will include meetings between senior NATO officers and their Israeli counterparts as well as a joint NATO-Israel naval exercise.

This is the first time that the Spanish frigate has docked in an Israeli port, the IDF’s Spokesperson’s Unit said Friday.

Israel petitions EU to end financial assistance to pro-boycott NGOs

According to Israel’s Strategic Affairs Ministry, Palestinian affiliated NGOs received $5.9million from the EU in 2016 ‘that have ties to terror and promote boycotts against Israel.’ Pro-Palestinian groups slam Jerusalem’s demand the EU end their financial aid to such groups.

Israel called on the European Union on Friday to halt funding to more than a dozen European and Palestinian non-governmental organizations that it says promote boycotts against Israel, saying the financial support violates the EU’s stated policy that it opposes boycotts against the Jewish state.

Israel’s supreme court rules squatters’ village near J’lem to be demolished

The EU has spent hundreds of millions of taxpayers’ money to erect makeshift sheds in defiance of Israeli building & zoning laws, proudly displaying the EU flags constructed on public lands. Such actions are clearly illegal according to local laws & European laws, and despite European gov’ts efforts to halt their demolition, the supreme court now approves the razing of the illegal Bedouin village east of Jerusalem.

Syrian state news: Homs military airbase neutralizes missile attack

Syrian army official says the Dabaa military airfield near the Lebanese border was targeted by missiles prompting Syrian air defenses to ‘confront attack, preventing it from achieving its objective.’
– US denies involvement.
– IDF declines comment.

An explosion was heard Thursday evening in the Dabaa military airfield in the Syrian province of Homs, near the Syrian-Lebanese border, Syrian state news agency SANA reported. The source of the blast was initially unclear.

Syrian state media added the military airport had come under a missile attack, which was repelled by its air defense systems.

“One of our military airports in the central region was exposed to hostile missile aggression, and our air defense systems confronted the attack and prevented it from achieving its aim,” SANA said. Continue Reading »

Palestinian enters Israel, taken to jail, and found with 6 cellphones inside him

Having just been returned home by Israeli Border Guard police officers after infiltrating into Israel, the Palestinian was again apprehended for trying to cross the security fence in the Jerusalem area for the second time. This time arrested, he was found to be smuggling cellphones for incarcerated security prisoners.

Israeli Def. Minister plans major housing construction push in West Bank

Defense Minister Lieberman announced his plans to seek approval from regional planning board for the immediate construction of 2,500 family units and another 1400 units for a later date, divided out across 30 ‘large & small’ communities throughout Judea and Samaria.

Israel moves to acknowledge Armenian Genocide by the Turks

Similar motions to recognize the Armenian Genocide have been put to the Knesset for a vote, but unlike in the past when the gov’t required the coalition to vote against it out of concern for relations with Turkey, this time, Netanyahu’s gov’t did not respond to the motion.

ICC declines Palestinian request for ‘immediate investigation’ of Israel

Palestinian glad she left UNRWA run Shuafat refugee camp

23 yr-old Wallah Adaween, a biology student at Ramallah University has no regrets leaving the squalor of the Jordanian built, UNRWA run camp, which receives 100’s of million of dollars annually and is responsible for the camp, providing such services as medical, food assistance and education of the Palestinians.

IDF tweets Israel’s F-35 first to attack, avoided over 100 anti-aircraft missiles

Israel Air Force commander Maj. Gen. Amikam Norkin presented a photo to foreign air force commanders of an IAF F-35 ‘Adir’ jet over Beirut, saying, “We attacked twice in the Middle East with the F-35—we’re the first in the world to do so.”

Gazan terrorists crossed the border fence south of the community of Kissufim this morning and set fire to an IDF sniper post.

There were no casualties. In response, an IDF tank attacked a Hamas observation post in the southern Gaza Strip.

IDF lookouts using the Tzayad system linking the intelligence gathering elements with the command echelon, as well as with the fire and maneuvering elements, through a network of optic fibers and encrypted radio communication in the field.
