Munich mayor rejects Israel’s request to cancel tax-funded BDS lecture

 

Outlawed in France as anti-Semitic, and reported in the Spanish press as a violent organization’ after Matisyahu’s concert ban & then reinvitation, the BDS city-sponsored lecture will take place on the eve of the Nazis’ ‘Kristallnacht’, in Munich, of all places.

“We are in touch with the municipality of Munich in order to prevent this event from happening,” the head of Israel’s consulate, Dan Shaham, wrote to ‘The Jerusalem Post’ on Friday.

arrest.

The Friends of the IDF (FIDF) organization on Thursday night held its annual event honoring the IDF at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, where an outpouring of 1,200 people including numerous celebs showed their support for the Israeli army.

As is the case each year, the event was hosted by Israeli billionaire Haim Saban, who together with his wife Cheryl was able to invite Hollywood notables such as actors Antonio Banderas, Jason Alexander, Mark Wahlberg, Jason Segel, Liev Schreiber, singers Enrico Macias, David Foster, and Gene Simmons of the band Kiss, as well as several others. Thai Ambassador Receives Donations Collect by Jerusalem Biblical Zoo Elephant

 

The Thai Ambassador, Angsana Sihapitak, accepts donation that were collected in small amounts from visitors who entered the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo raffle, from Tamar, an Israeli elephant.

Thai Ambassador to Israel Angsana Sihapitak received Thursday a $1,500 donation from the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo for an elephant hospital in Lampang — and the check was personally delivered by an elephant named Tamar.

Tamar, an Asian elephant, held the giant check in her trunk, presenting it to Sihapitak.

White House: No Pressure on Netanyahu during Washington visit

Police in Jerusalem arrested a top sheikh on Wednesday on suspicion of inciting his worshippers to attack Jews.

Sheikh Khaled Al Mughrabi, who gives regular sermons twice a week at the Temple Mount and al-Aqsa mosque, was detained after videos emerged of him inciting racial hatred.
