IRGC commander killed in airstrike smuggling weapons into Syria

The airstrike killing a commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards at the Iraq-Syria border came mere days after Iran’s most senior nuclear scientist was assassinated in Tehran and blamed on Israel’s Mossad by Iranian leaders.

BAGHDAD – An airstrike killed a commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards at the Iraq-Syria border sometime between Saturday and Sunday, Iraqi security and local militia officials said on Monday.

They could not confirm the identity of the commander, who they said was killed alongside three other men traveling in a vehicle with him.

Attributed to Israel: 14 pro-Iranian militiamen killed in Syria

Although the Syrian state media did not report this third airstrike in less than a week, a Britain-based Syria observer NGO reported Israel was most likely behind this latest attack that killed 14 Iraqi & Iranian militia combatants on Tuesday.

Overnight strikes on positions held by Iranian-backed militias and their allies in eastern Syria killed 14 fighters, a war monitor said on Tuesday.

Syrian Report: IDF gunships fired missiles at Hezbollah in Golan Heights

Syrian media reported that on Thursday night, the second attack within a week, Israeli helicopters from Israel’s side of the Golan Heights, launched an air strike on Hezbollah targets in the Quneitra region.

Syrian television reported on Thursday night that Israeli aircraft attacked several targets in southern Syria with missiles.

A radio station affiliated with the Syrian regime said that the attack had taken place in the Quneitra area. There were no reports of injuries, only of damage to property.

REPORT: Israeli drone hits Hezbollah vehicle in Syria

Foreign pro-Syrian sources say the Iran-backed passengers escaped the car before it was destroyed by an Israeli drone; Sky News Arabia reported the vehicle was carrying a Hezbollah commander belonging to the Lebanese terror group near Syria-Lebanon border.

An Israeli drone targeted a car carrying forces from Iran-backed Hezbollah in Syria near the Lebanese border, a commander in the pro-Damascus regional alliance and a security source said.

The sources said there were no casualties, with the passengers escaping before the car was hit and destroyed.

Syrian media: Israel assassinated senior Hezbollah commander

According to a Syrian media report, an Israeli drone destroyed the car a Hezbollah leader, Imad at-Tawil was driving, as he was surveying the Syrian side of the Golan Heights bordering Israel.

An Israeli drone assassinated a senior Hezbollah operative on Thursday, Arab media reported.

According to the reports, the official is Imad at-Tawil.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said that he did not know anything about the alleged Israeli attack that target the Damascus area on Thursday, adding that maybe it was “the Belgian air force.”

“I don’t what happened last night,” Netanyahu said in an interview with Radio Haifa on Friday, as quoted by channel 12. “Maybe it was the Belgian air force.”

Report: Israeli intel pinpointed Soleimani location to U.S.

NBC News reported Sunday that Jerusalem “helped confirm the details” of Iran’s Gen. Qassem Soleimani’s flight from Damascus to Baghdad, where his vehicle was ultimately destroyed by US drone-strike upon arrival.

Foreign Report: Airstrikes Saturday kill 5 pro-Iran fighters in Syria

Five “non-Syrian” soldiers linked to foreign forces supporting the regime in Syria were killed Saturday night in yet another series of airstrikes near the Iraqi border, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Sunday.

Air strikes by unidentified warplanes have killed five pro-Iran fighters in Syria’s eastern province of Deir Ezzor near the Iraqi border, a Britain-based war monitor said on Sunday.

The strikes late Saturday targeted “positions of Iranian forces and allied militias” on the edge of the town of Albukamal, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Sunday afternoon.

Arab media: Iranian weapons depot destroyed in Syria by IDF

Although no one has taken credit for yesterday’s destruction of an Iranian weapons warehouse on a Syrian airbase, foreign publications have again, as in the past, attributed the airstrike to Israel.

A weapons warehouse belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in the Al Bukamal region of Syria was hit in an airstrike Wednesday evening, the Saudi news network Al Arabiya reported.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries in the attack on an airbase close to Syria’s border with Iraq.

Iranian targets in Syria struck in overnight retaliatory operation

IDF reports ‘dozens’ of Iranian militia targets in Syria were struck in an overnight IDF operation by Israeli warplanes over Damascus, in retaliation for multiple rockets fired by Iranian proxies a day earlier.

Syrian air defenses responded to an alleged airstrike on the Iraq-Syrian border town of Albukamal just after midnight on Saturday. It is the latest of several airstrikes reported in the same vicinity that are alleged to have struck Iranian-backed groups or bases linked to Iran. IDF jets strike Hamas compound following launching of explosive balloons on Israel

In retaliation to the continued release of explosive balloons from the Gaza terror enclave on Israeli civilian towns, IDF fighter aircraft once again strike at a Hamas military compound.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said on Tuesday evening that IDF fighter planes and aircraft attacked a number of terrorist targets in a military compound belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the northern Gaza Strip.
