EU ‘deeply concerned’ over Israel’s Security Wall

EU unconcerned Israel’s Security Wall has been a proven factor in lowering deaths/terrorist attacks, rather only addresses concerns that the fence may harm Palestinian Arabs’ livelihood.

The European Union said on Friday it was “deeply concerned” by Israel’s construction of a new part of the security fence between it and Palestinian Authority (PA) controlled territories.

Cranes last week began erecting the fence in the Cremisan valley near the Palestinian town of Beit Jala south of Jerusalem after a legal battle.

The EU said in a statement it was “deeply concerned at the relaunch of works for the construction of the separation barrier in the Cremisan valley.”

UN envoy urges EU to exert  pressure on Israel over demolition of illegal EU buildings

BRUSSELS – A UN envoy urged the European Union on Friday to raise political pressure on Israel over accelerating demolitions of Palestinians home in the West Bank, which he said run against international law and increasingly affect aid projects sponsored by the bloc.

Robert Piper, a United Nations assistant secretary general and the head of humanitarian affairs for the Palestinian territories, briefed EU officials in Brussels on that, noting there have been over 540 demolitions and confiscations so far this year. Continue Reading »

BDS Demands EU officials boycott anti-BDS conference in Jerusalem

 

Leaders of the anti-Israel movement urged EU foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini to stop EU’s ambassador to the Jewish State from attending the Yedioth Ahronoth’s anti-BDS conference in Jerusalem, scheduled for this Monday.

Representatives of the BDS movement have demanded that the EU boycott the Yedioth Ahronoth and Ynet anti-BDS conference, which will convene on Monday in Jerusalem. The BDS movement has demanded that EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini order EU Ambassador to Israel Lars Faaborg-Andersen to not participate in a conference panel alongside pro-settlement political leader Dani Dayan.

EU bankrolls group holding forum in Tel Aviv on how to destroy Israel as Jewish State

The EU is financing the rabid anti-Israeli organization Zochrot, that’s set to host a conference in Tel Aviv next week to discuss how to flood Israel with ‘Palestinian refugees’, bringing an end to a Jewish state.

The radical anti-Israeli organization Zochrot will host a conference in Tel Aviv next week, thanks to funding from European governments and US organizations.

The event is titled “The Third International Conference on the Return of Palestinian Refugees.” It will focus on how to make Israel give citizenship to all Palestinians around the world, and how such a move would end Israel’s status as a Jewish state.

EU transfers €252.5 Million to Palestinian Authority

 

Reaffirming the EU’s commitment to a 2-state solution, Federica Mogherini says financial aid is to be used to support ‘daily lives of Palestinians’ & ‘to ensure functioning’ of the Abbas’ government.

The European Commission authorized the transfer of EUR 252.5 million on Tuesday. It was the first assistance package to the Palestinian Authority this year, and comes as a continuation of its annual commitment to providing financial assistance to the Palestinian Authority.

EU reverses Israeli settlement product-labeling decision 

 

Under the new agreement, the EU said it will leave product-labeling decisions up to each individual member country and promised to oppose any boycott or isolation campaigns against Israel.

Israel customs officials discover EU diplomat’s car with smuggled gold bars and steroids

A European Union diplomat was caught attempting to smuggled bricks of pure gold, jewelry, hundreds of smartphones, and dozens of kilograms of steroids into Israel on Thursday at Allenby Crossing.

European Jewish Congress says the EU’s singling out of Israel for labeling only Jewish goods, is highly provocative since it ignores Turkey’s occupation of Cyprus while it profits from them.

Belgian Police Investigate EU Official After Directing Anti-Semitic Diatribe At Coworker 

 

 

A European Union official is the subject of a probe by  Belgian police after he allegedly physically and verbally attacked a co-worker, calling her a “dirty Jewess,” during an anti-Semitic diatribe. The Belgian League against anti-Semitism (LBCA) said Thursday that it had filed a complaint against 45-year-old Maltese official Stefan Grech, who is president of an EU labor union called Generation 2004, after the 50-year-old Italian complainant reached out to the organization, providing it with copies of the complaint she filed, as well as testimony from a friend and witness. EU charged in court for funding illegal Palestinian construction

Settlers on Monday asked the High Court of Justice to order the demolition of 15 Palestinian homes in Area C of the West Bank, which they say are illegal and funded by the European Union.

The modular structures with cement floors located within the boundaries of the Kfar Adumim settlement were built in 2015 and house Palestinian Beduin.
