Irony of Ironies: UN trusts Israelis above all others to defend their personnel

With 61 UN peacekeepers having been killed in Africa just last year, apparently Israel’s aggressive approach to security which is condemned regularly by the UN General Assembly, their Security Council, the UN Human Rights Council and UNESCO, it seems that’s no longer important as they trust no one more than Israel to keep their personnel safe.

According to the United Nations, it is Israel’s aggressive approach to security that is one of the primary obstacles to peace in the Middle East.

UN passes resolution allowing Palestinians powers of full member in 2019

Only  US, Israel and Australia vote against United Nations General Assembly resolution allowing the Palestinian to participate fully in meetings as a legitimate state and join previously restricted international bodies.

The 193-member United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday allowed the Palestinians to act more like a full UN member state during meetings in 2019 when they will chair the group of 77 developing nations.

The United States, Israel and Australia voted against the move, which won 146 votes in favor. There were 15 abstentions and 29 countries didn’t vote.

UNESCO: Cave of the Patriarchs, Rachel’s Tomb are in ‘Occupied Palestine’

Executive Board of UNESCO passed resolutions declaring that both, the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron and Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem, are “an integral part of the Occupied Palestinian territory.”

Israeli Arab parliamentarians team up with Palestinians against Israel at UN

Israeli Knesset Members from the Joint Arab List party met with UN and senior PA officials in order to facilitate the passing of an anti-Israel resolution at the United Nations to condemn Israel’s Nationality Law as “Apartheid.”

Arab MKs from the Joint Arab List are preparing a resolution at the United Nations to condemn the Nationality Law, Hadashot News reported.

Head of UNHRC’s anti-Israel crime probe into Hamas ‘March of Return’ resigns

David Crane, who was tasked by the overtly anti-Israel UNHRC to chair a panel to only investigate Israel’s actions during the Hamas riots along the Israel’s border known as the ‘Great March of Return,’ offered his letter of resignation yesterday.

Legal expert David Michael Crane resigned Wednesday from his post as chair of the UN Human Rights panel that is probing possible Israeli war crimes in Gaza.

UN interferes with court demolition ruling of illegal Bedouin encampment 

A spokeswoman for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights requested that Israel not raze the unsafe Bedouin roadside encampment, which Israel’s Supreme Court ruled was illegally built and posed a security threat.
