A Gazan woman and her infant daughter were killed when the Israel Air Force struck a Hamas arms-production site, and brought down a nearby house in northern Gaza, according to Palestinian medical officials.
The IAF launched air strikes on two Hamas targets in northern Gaza early on Sunday in retaliation for a Palestinian rocket attack on Ashkelon on Saturday night. The incoming rocket set off warning sirens, sending Israeli residents fleeing for cover, and an Iron Dome anti-rocket battery intercepted the projectile in the skies over southern Ashkelon.
