Gaza prepares for prolonged power outages

 

With financial donations from Turkey and Qatar to buy diesel fuel for Gaza’s only power plant having ended, and Hamas leaders refusing to pay for fuel, the coastal enclave’s Health Ministry said lives will be in danger.

Gaza is bracing for a severe energy crisis after donor funds from Qatar and Turkey — used to purchase diesel fuel for the coastal enclave’s lone power plant — have run out.

According to the Hamas-controlled Energy Authority in Gaza, it no longer has the funds to buy more diesel fuel and pay the requisite taxes, which are levied by the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah. Continue Reading »

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s long-awaited visit to Israel will take place on July 5-6, the Indian press reported on Thursday.

According to the Hindustan Times, Modi will come to Israel – a first-ever visit by an India prime minister – on his way to take part in the G-20 Summit in Hamburg on July 7-8.

Crazed Palestinian terrorist stabs to death British student on Jerusalem light-rail

 

A 25yr-old British female tourist was killed in stabbing attack inside the light rail train near Jerusalem’s Old City. The Arab terrorist, a resident of eastern Jerusalem, left two others with injuries.

A British tourist in her mid 20’s was murdered by an Arab terrorist Friday afternoon in a stabbing attack inside of a light rail train in Jerusalem.

Two others, a pregnant woman in her early 30s and a man in his early 50s were injured during the attack. Approximately 10 people were killed and 50 wounded in ongoing confrontation in the Ein El Hilweh refugee camp in Lebanon between Palestinian factions and Islamists affiliated with the Salafi movement. Recently, an attempt was made to reach a cease-fire, and now the person who heads an armed group and is affiliated with the Salafis is being pursued.

The IDF and the Shin Bet arrested overnight Tuesday a Hamas legislator in the West Bank parliament, Ahmed Atun, who resides in the city of Al-Bireh, north of Jerusalem. Two other wanted individuals in the West Bank were also arrested in the process.

Atun is one of four Hamas members of parliament who were stripped of their residency in east Jerusalem and expelled in the last decade, the others being Muhammad Abu Tir, Khaled Abu Arafeh, and Muhammad Totah. Continue Reading »

Jordan’s King outraged after being called “Foolish & Irresponsible” by Iran

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry said it “strongly protests” Tehran’s remarks about the monarch, and reminded the Islamic Republic to respect the “good neighborly relations with Arab states.”

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry on Monday demanded that Iran’s ambassador to Amman explain comments attributed to the Islamic Republic’s Foreign Ministry after a spokesperson described a statement from King Abdullah II of Jordan as “foolish and irresponsible.”

REPORT: One Dead after Israel retaliates for ISIS rocket fire with UAV attack

 

Following yesterday’s Islamic State rocket fire on Southern Israel, Arab media reports of an unidentified drone strike on a home & car in Rafah, Sinai, killing one.
– IDF has had no comment on the foreign reports.

Following rocket fire directed at communities in the Eshkol Regional Council Monday morning, Arab media outlet Al Jazeera reported that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacked a house in southern Rafah, killing one person.

ISIS rocket fired from Sinai explodes in greenhouse in Southern Israel

 

REPORT: According to an ISIS linked news agency Amaq, the Islamic State took responsibility for the rocket that activated the ‘color-red’ alert sirens in the Eshkol region, and landed inside a greenhouse, only causing considerable damage. No injuries reported.
