Israeli Air Force shoots down Hamas UAV over Gaza coastline

 

Tuesday morning the IAF dispatched an F-16 after it identified a Hamas drone take off and fly over the Gaza coastline, violating Israeli airspace.

The drone was shot down over the coastline in the Gaza Strip, and the IDF stated that it never penetrated Israeli territory. The military also stated that they had tracked the UAV from the moment that it launched.

Terrorist killed during 3rd knife-attack in Hevron-area in less than 24 hours

 

Alert IDF soldiers shot dead a Palestinian terrorist who lunged at them armed with a knife in hand, intent on stabbing them, marking Tuesday morning’s stabbing attempt the third foiled terror attack in the Hevron area in less than 24 hours.

Yet another attempted stabbing in the Hevron district, as an Arab terrorist targeted soldiers near the village of Bani Naim Tuesday morning, but was shot and neutralized by security forces on the scene.

Senators send Obama message: Continue vetoing anti-Israel UNSC resolutions

A group of 88 senators on Monday signed a bipartisan letter urging President Barack Obama to maintain the long-standing U.S. policy of vetoing any one-sided United Nations Security Council resolutions on the Israeli-Palestinian Arab issue.

Tel Aviv University researchers successfully stop breast cancer metastasis in mice

 

Tel Aviv University researchers have discovered an “extremely effective way” to prevent the spread of breast cancer to other parts of the body in mice by combining gene therapy with chemotherapy and delivering it to the tumor.

Israeli back-packers detained for possession of forgotten bullets: This time in India & Egypt

 

Young Israelis recently discharged from the IDF are notoriously known for traveling with an unintentionally forgotten bullet in their back-packs. This weekend a recently-discharged soldier at the Taba Crossing to Egypt, and a young woman in New Delhi were both detained for having a rifle bullet in their luggage.

Over the weekend, two Israelis were arrested abroad—one in India and one at the Taba Crossing into Egypt—for having rifle bullets in their bags.

Israeli security forces thwarted an attempted stabbing attack on Monday afternoon at the Cave of the Patriarchs near the West Bank city of Hebron.

Security forces shot two Palestinian assailants near the holy site, killing one and critically wounding the other. There were no initial reports of injuries to the Israeli side.

Israeli doctors in Jerusalem cure paralyzed 6 year-old girl

 

The 6 year-old child was paralyzed from the neck down after falling and injuring her neck, but an incredible group of specialists who were gathered at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem managed to restore function to her hands and legs, allowing young Ruth Rosenthal to walk & play again.

Six-year-old Ruthie Rosenthal, who suffered from paralysis after she fell and injured her neck, has managed to get back up and walking.

Ruthie, a smiling, happy, Down’s Syndrome child, fell about a year ago and as a result, her hands and legs were paralyzed and she was forced to use a wheelchair, according to a report in Israel Hayom.

No injuries reported, in this first of its kind incident, where Israel’s Iron Dome interceptor neutralized 2 incoming rockets that appear to have been fired from across the border in Syria.

A second rocket fired into Israeli territory from Syria was successfully intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system on Saturday afternoon, after a first rocket was shot down over the Golan Heights only an hour earlier.

No injuries were reported as a result of both incidents.
