Following 70 rockets fired at Israel, the IAF goes after Hamas weapons caches, rocket manufacturing facilities , a central logistical military complex, a concrete factory, an offensive maritime terror tunnel shaft along the coast used by Hamas commandos and several assorted terror sites inside military compounds throughout the Gaza Strip.

IDF aircraft on Wednesday night fired towards a vehicle used by a Gazan rocket launching squad to launch a rocket at Israeli territory.

Visiting Christian Millennials Realize Media Deceived Them About Israel

A party of eleven young millennials visiting from seven Western countries were flabbergasted when an Arab Christian told them, “There is no [Israeli] occupation,” adding, “Where is the occupation? We are completely under the Palestinian Authority.”

An international group of millennials have seen the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a new light after engaging with both sides – and being shocked by what they discovered.

A party of eleven young people from seven nations were brought together for the chance to understand issues from the point of view of those living there. They were deliberately not primed to view things from any particular perspective in order to allow them to form their own conclusions through interviews and talks with representatives of both Israelis and Palestinians. IDF confirmed striking Hamas targets in Gaza after 2 rockets hit Sderot

According to an IDF report, the Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted 2 of 8 rockets fired, with 2 successfully falling in Israel’s southern city of Sderot.

Following Hamas snipper-fire IDF tank destroys position, 2 killed, 6 injured

Two Hamas militants were killed Tuesday after the IDF shelled a Hamas position near Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip after troops came under fire while on patrol.

EU disregards Israel as it plans transportation infrastructure thru Jewish State

Neglecting coordination with Israel, EU concocts plans connecting Judea and Samaria to Gaza airports, seaports, and railway hubs going right through Israel.

The European Union has formulated a plan to establish a transportation infrastructure to connect Gaza to Judea and Samaria without informing or involving elements in Israel.

According to today’s report on Reshet Bet as part of the plan it is proposed to build huge infrastructures also including “Area C” – places retained in the Oslo Accords under full Israeli control.

On a different proposal: Israel’s Transportation Minister Israel Katz proposed a rail link plan beginning at Israeli ports to Palestinian industrial centers, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Israel builds counter-terrorism maritime barrier between Israel and Gaza

The Israeli Navy installed a sensor system that detects and warns against infiltration attempts into the counter-terrorism maritime barrier, so Israel’s Defense Minister admits, ‘Every day, Hamas is losing its capability to attack Israel.’

Significant progress in the barrier project against infiltrations from the Gaza Strip has been reported on Sunday. New images and videos show a new breakwater structure, with a high fence surrounding it, and an advanced detection system.

The construction is expected to be completed within a year and a half.

Car bomb kills head of Syria’s chemical weapons research unit

The head of the Scientific Research and Studies Center in Masyaf, a facility known as ‘CERS’ and blacklisted by the U.S. for being used for Syrian chemical weapons development, was successfully assassinated in second attempt.

A Syrian scientist at the head of a research center reportedly linked to arms development and alleged to have been previously struck by Israel was assassinated by a bomb blast Sunday, according to Syrian media.

US plans to integrate UNRWA into the UN High Commissioner for Refugees

Senior advisor to US President Trump, Jared Kushner reportedly plans to eliminate UNRWA and resettle the Palestinian descendants of the refugees to neighboring countries, writing, ‘It is important to have an honest and sincere effort to disrupt UNRWA. It perpetuates a status quo, is corrupt, inefficient and doesn’t help peace.’

Israel’s Navy intercepts Swedish-flagged, Gaza-bound vessel

IDF Spokesperson’s Unit reported the Israeli Navy intercepted a second Gaza-bound vessel, supposedly carrying ‘humanitarian aid’ for the Palestinians.

The Israeli navy intercepted a Swedish-flagged boat aiming to reach Gaza, the IDF said on Saturday.

“The ship was monitored and was intercepted in accordance with international law,” an IDF spokesperson said. “It was brought to the Ashdod base.”

The Kårstein (top) was intercepted Sunday 29 July, and the Hurriyah (Freedom) was intercepted today trying to reach Gaza – Facebook

“The incident ended with no unusual events.”

Standard & Poor’s upgrades Israel’s global credit rating

In a press release, S&P reports the financial upgrade was due to an improvement in the Israel’s fiscal policy.
– Israel’s Finance Minister welcomed the announcement.

Financial services company S&P on Friday upgraded Israel’s credit rating to AA- from A+ with a stable outlook.

The company said in a press release that the upgrade was due to an improvement in the Israeli government’s fiscal policy.

S&P predicted that the Israeli economy will grow by an average of 3.3% between 2018 and 2021. The main growth factors in these years are expected to be private consumption, continued investment by corporations, and strong performance in the export of services. Continue Reading »

Palestinian killed by IDF, 125+ injured rushing Gaza’s border with Israel

The IDF issued a statement estimating the number of “violent rioters” at 8,000, and to those that infiltrated into Israel hurling firebombs and explosive devices, the IDF was “responding with riot dispersal means and operating according to standard operating procedures.”

A 25-year-old Palestinian was killed Friday evening and at least 120 more were injured, most from live fire in clashes with the Israeli army on the border, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

Ahmed Yaghi was killed by a sniper east of Gaza City, spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said.

The IDF issued a statement earlier, estimating the number of “violent rioters” at 8,000, “gathering in five locations along the Gaza Strip border, attempting to sabotage security infrastructure,” after protests broke out Friday afternoon.

Syrian state media said late Thursday that Syrian air defenses were triggered by Israeli fighter jets that had allegedly bombed three Iranian positions in Syria.

The Syrian defense systems “engaged and destroyed ‎hostile targets” near the capital of Damascus, the report said.

As Assad retakes Golan Heights, IDF closes Field Clinic for internal refugees

IDF closes it’s Golan Heights medical field clinic, the Mazor Ladach, that had provided treatment to some 6,800 displaced and deprived Syrians that had no access to medical help or medicines in their war-torn country.

A field clinic built by the IDF and providing care to injured Syrians has been closed, the IDF’s Spokesperson’s Unit announced on Friday.

The Mazor Ladach (whose name translates into Bandaging Those In Need) was a field clinic opened in August 2017 and located in an unused military post in the southern Golan Heights on the Syrian border.

Captain of seized Gaza bound boat accuses IDF of breaking int’l law

Captain of the Norwegian vessel that ignored the Gaza blockade claims the Israeli Navy illegally boarded his ship in international waters (actually that’s a requirement under maritime law when enforcing a legal blockade – I&S) and used violent force against activists (who “were reluctant to cooperate and to follow orders,”).

The captain of a Norwegian boat carrying pro-Palestinian activists en route to Gaza has accused Israeli authorities of violating the law by boarding the vessel in international waters and using violent force against its crew, who were arrested.

Norway has asked Israel to explain the circumstances surrounding the arrests and “the allegations of excessive use of force,” a Norwegian government spokesman told AFP on Thursday. Continue Reading »
