Mahmoud Abbas’ replacement: Another 70 yr-old, old-guard PLO ‘official’

So, why did Israel save the life of the ailing Palestinian kleptocratic autocrat, if he picked a successor that’s another hate-filled PLO official much like himself & Arafat?

Mahmoud Abbas has been a thorn in Israel’s side. He’s refused for the past several years to negotiate with Israeli leaders, and continues to approve blatant incitement against the Jewish state in Palestinian schoolbooks, to list but a couple of his violations of signed peace agreements.

So, why did Israel rush to save the life of the Palestinian leader when he fell severely ill last year?

UPDATE: Israeli airstrike in Syria killed 12 Iranian Revolutionary Guard Soldiers

Despite Tehran’s denials of Iranian soldiers in Syria, the updated report from a UK-based NGO has 12 Iranian from the Revolutionary Guard killed along with 6 Syrian soldiers and three other non-Syrian nationals in the Israeli airstrike that was carried out by three squadrons of IAF jets.

Twelve soldiers belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed in Sunday’s Israeli airstrikes on Damascus’s International Airport, the UK-based NGO Syrian Observatory for Human Rights charged on Tuesday.

Hamas arrests 3 Italian security personnel mistaken for IDF soldiers

Only after the Italian Ambassador spoke with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh were the Italian security guards released, having fled into a UNESCO building in Gaza, then held for two days of questioning by Hamas security.

Hamas on Tuesday night released three Italian security guards held for two days at the UNESCO offices in the Gaza Strip on suspicion of being part of an IDF undercover force. The three were freed following intervention by the Italian ambassador to Israel.

Israeli satellite photos reveal destroyed missile storehouse after IDF strike in Syria

Following the Israeli Air Force strike at the Damascus Airport on Friday night, Israeli satellite firm, ImageSat International released images clearly showing 3 craters that were formed where an enormous arms warehouse had been standing.

Israeli satellite company ImageSat International released Monday images of the extensive damage caused to the ammunition warehouse at the Damascus international Airport following an Israeli airstrike on Friday night.

ImageSat estimates that the arms depot contained Iranian Fajr-5 missiles, among others. The satellite images show the complete destruction of the warehouse, with three craters formed where the military compound once stood. Continue Reading »

REPORT: Iran sanctions Poland

A Turkish news agency reports that the Islamic Republic canceled a scheduled Polish film week two days after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Fox News that Poland was hosting a U.S. sponsored summit, aimed at discussing Iran’s regional, disruptive influence.

Iran on Sunday cancelled a week dedicated to display Polish films, which was scheduled to take place in February, in protest over Poland’s hosting of an anti-Islamic Republic summit.

Hossein Entezami, the director of the Cinema Organization, said that the activity has been suspended, reported the Turkish Anadolu news agency.

Hezbollah leader reported to be hospitalized after heart attack, stroke

Lebanese outlets report that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was hospitalized Saturday in serious condition after suffering a heart attack while he has also been fighting cancer.
• Hezbollah official calls report,  “Zionist lies.”

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has been hospitalized in serious condition in Beirut after apparently suffering a heart attack, Lebanese media outlets reported on Saturday. Another report said he also suffered a stroke, and that he has been fighting cancer.

The reports were not confirmed by any official sources. The Lebanese media reports also noted that Nasrallah had not been seen or heard publicly for several weeks, ever since the IDF launched Operation Northern Shield to eradicate the terrorist organization’s cross-border underground tunnels. In Egypt US Sec of State Mike Pompeo rebukes Obama Mideast policy as ruinous

In a speech to the American University in Cairo Secretary of State Pompeo said, “Remember: It was here, here in this very city, another American stood before you… told you that radical Islamist terrorism does not stem from ideology,” believing the former US president purposely ignored the growth of Hezbollah in Lebanon at the detriment of Israel’s security.

Egyptian President el-Sisi confirms military cooperation with Israel against ISIS

In a yet-to-be-aired news program, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi  admitted the two countries were cooperating to eliminate ISIS militant jihadists operating in the Sinai peninsula, “We have a wide range of cooperation with the Israelis,” al Sisi said in the interview.

Satellite images verify Iranian facility in Syrian airstrike destroyed by IDF

Report issued by satellite imaging company ISI says Syrian site, believed to be an Iranian weapons depot, was “completely destroyed” in the airstrike largely attributed to Israel.

An intelligence report issued by the satellite imaging company ImageSat International (ISI) on Thursday revealed the aftermath of the recent airstrikes in Syria, largely attributed to Israel.

According to reports, the target of the airstrikes was an Iranian weapons depot near Damascus. The satellite images unveiled Thursday showed extensive damage to the targeted site. A caption on the satellite imagery indicates that the site was “completely destroyed.”

REPORT: Israeli airstrike in Damascus injures senior Hezbollah leaders

U.S. Dept. of Defense source to Newsweek: Several leaders of Hezbollah have been hit during the Israeli airstrike on Damascus, “Israel’s air strike was conducted minutes after the leaders boarded a plane bound for Iran”

Israel’s air defense system – likely the Arrow – was activated late Tuesday night against a Syrian anti-aircraft missile, following an alleged Israeli air strike over the capital of Damascus. Media reports claimed that Israel struck weapon warehouses near the Syrian capital.

U.S. Congress targets Hezbollah & Hamas with anti-human shield legislation

A bill that singles out Hamas & Hezbollah as habitual offenders of an inhumane tactic that violates international law was approved in the House of Representatives and is set to pass in the Senate, before being signed into law by President Trump.

The US House of Representatives passed legislation targeting those who use “human shields” in military confrontations with Israel. The tactic is often employed by Palestinian terrorist group Hamas and the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah organization, who Israel says conceal their arsenals in civilian structures such as schools, homes and hospitals.

Iranian navy launches first stealth destroyer

Iran’s domestically built Sahand destroyer apparently has advanced warfare capabilities including anti-aircraft guns, surface-to-air missiles & electronic warfare capabilities, according Iran’s state-run television.

Iran’s navy on Saturday launched a domestically made destroyer, which state media said has radar-evading stealth properties, as tensions rise with arch-enemy, the United States.

In a ceremony carried live on state television, the Sahand destroyer—which can sustain voyages lasting five months without resupply—joined Iran’s regular navy at a base in Bandar Abbas on the Gulf.

The Sahand has a flight deck for helicopters, torpedo launchers, anti-aircraft and anti-ship guns, surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missiles and electronic warfare capabilities, state television reported. Continue Reading »

United Nations Refuses to Condemn Hamas

World body routinely condemns Israel by simple majority, but as usual, enacts a double standard against Israel to officially condemn Hamas, so General Assembly decides a 2/3 majority must be needed to condemn the Palestinian terror group.

The United Nations has failed to officially condemn Hamas, even after the US and Israel managed to garner a strong majority in the General Assembly for a resolution doing just that.

Amb. Nikki Haley: U.S. to vote ‘no’ on annual anti-Israel UN resolution

Ambassador Haley reported that this year the US will vote “no” on the annual UN resolution that condemns the Israeli “occupation” of the Golan Heights, because “the atrocities the Syrian regime continues to commit prove its lack of fitness to govern anyone,”  while endangering Israel’s security.

The US announced on Thursday that it plans to vote “no” on an annual resolution at the UN condemning Israel’s alleged “occupation” of the Golan Heights.

The annual resolution, entitled “The Occupied Syrian Golan”, is scheduled for a vote on Friday, November 16.
