#BDSfail: Another German bank terminates anti-Israel BDS bank account

 

Many large European banks have this year initiated broad internal checks that lead to the closure of accounts that may include financing terrorism and/or antisemitism.

The Bank für Sozialwirtschaft (Bank for Social Economy) has closed the account of a German group that promotes the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against the Jewish state.

The Cologne-based bank notified the anti-Israel NGO Jewish Voice for a Just Peace in the Middle East that its account will be shut down by the end of the year, according to an article that appeared on the anti-Zionist website Der Semit on Thursday. Continue Reading »

Sandra Solomon is the niece of Saher Habash, one of the founders of the ruling Palestinian party Fatah and a leader in the campaign of terror known as the Second Intifada.

LONDON: The influential, cross-party Home Affairs Committee of the UK Parliament has published a report which details failings in the way antisemitism is investigated and dealt with within the UK. The report says that all political parties and media giants must address “pernicious” antisemitic hate.

Canada Post instructed to quit delivery of anti-Semitic paper

 

Canada’s Public Services and Procurement Minister Judy Foote, ordered Canada Post to stop delivering an anti-Semitic, Toronto newspaper that publishes “misogynist, racist, anti-Jewish, anti-Muslim, and homophobic hate propaganda.”

Canada’s federal government has ordered Canada Post to stop delivering an anti-Semitic Toronto newspaper which repeatedly denied the Holocaust, praised Adolf Hitler and derided Jews as well as Muslims, The National Post reports.

UK Labour Suspends Third Member over Anti-Semitic Behavior

Spanish Town Officially Changes Name After 400 Years From ‘Camp Kill Jews’ to ‘Jews’ Hill’

 

Hundreds of years after the Spanish Inquisition, a Spanish town formerly known as Castillo Matajudíos, which translates to Camp Kill Jews, was renamed to Castillo Mota de Judíos, or Jews’ Hill Camp.

Israeli Ambassador to Spain Daniel Kutner took part on Friday in a name-changing ceremony for an ancient Spanish town that did away with an old anti-Semitic name.

The town, formerly Castrillo Matajudíos, which translates to Camp Kill Jews, was renamed as Castrillo Mota de Judíos, or Jews’ Hill Camp.

Historical records indicate that Jews’ Hill Camp was actually the town’s original name, which was changed to Camp Kill Jews in 1627, 135 years after Jews were ordered to convert to Catholicism or flee the country in the 1492 Spanish Inquisition. Continue Reading »

German Security Agency: Influx of Migrants Will Bring anti-Semitism

BERLIN – Germany’s security and intelligence agencies expressed alarm over the influx of refugees and migrants who harbor radical Islamic views and hatred of Jews, according to a Sunday report in Welt am Sonntag.

According to a security document obtained by the paper and read by top-level agency personnel, “We are importing Islamic extremism, Arab anti-Semitism, national and ethnic conflicts of other peoples as well as a different societal and legal understanding.”
