Senior UN official shields Hamas’ appropriation of cement for terror tunnels

 

Despite tedious and insufficient progress repairing residential neighborhoods after Hamas received 1.2 million tons of cement & construction materials ,UN Assistant Secretary-General says there’s ‘no proof’ Hamas uses aid materials for ‘military purposes,’ i.e. dozens of newly dug terror-tunnels.

UN Assistant Secretary-General Robert Piper claims that there is no proof that Hamas is taking advantage of UN-provided construction material for “military purposes,” the pro-Hamas Middle East Monitor reports.

UN agency honors Palestinian suicide bus-bomber that killed & maimed Jews

 

Investigative reporter reveals UNRWA schools still reward & praise Palestinian terrorists, and Israel not only ignores it, but is blocking a US law against funding PA terror indoctrination.

At a facility in Judea of UNRWA, the UN body tasked with caring for “Palestinian refugees,” a festive ceremony was held on Monday honoring Abd al-Hamid Abu Srour, the 19-year-old Hamas terrorist who exactly a week ago bombed a bus in southeastern Jerusalem.

Journalist David Bedein, director of the Jerusalem-based Israel Resource News Agency as well as the Center for Near East Policy Research, told Arutz Sheva about the UN event to honor the terrorist who conducted the first bus bombing of the current terror wave, in which he died while wounding 15 victims. UN envoy urges EU to exert  pressure on Israel over demolition of illegal EU buildings

BRUSSELS – A UN envoy urged the European Union on Friday to raise political pressure on Israel over accelerating demolitions of Palestinians home in the West Bank, which he said run against international law and increasingly affect aid projects sponsored by the bloc.

NGO Monitor Report: UN agency manipulates data to demonize Israel

 

NGO Monitor’s Report: “OSHA [Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs] rarely, if ever, cites relevant Israeli gov’t information, including detailed statistics published by COGAT, the IDF, or the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.” and it’s website shows “videos [that] are devoid of all context and are aimed solely at demonizing Israel.”

NGO Monitor on Thursday released a report highly critical of a UN agency deemed so biased in Jerusalem that the Foreign Ministry, according to diplomatic sources, stopped cooperating with it in any meaningful way several years ago.

UN censors Israeli exhibition by @StandWithUs highlighting Zionism, Israeli Arabs, Jerusalem

 

View the 3 of 13 displays for the exhibition that were disqualified by the UN including one about Zionism, another about Israeli Arabs and the 3rd about Jerusalem.

NEW YORK – An exhibition initiated by Israel’s permanent mission to the United Nations with the organization StandWithUs and expected to open at the UN headquarters on Monday, was partially censored by the international body this weekend.

Three out of 13 displays put together for the exhibition were disqualified by the UN, including one about Jerusalem, another about Israeli Arabs and a third about Zionism.

US to disregard UNHRC resolution to blacklist companies working with settlements

 

US State Department spokesman John Kirby said the US is opposed to the resolution on West Bank settlements the UNHRC approved last week in Geneva under the highly anti-Israel Agenda Item 7.

The United States does not intend to provide the United Nations Human Rights Council with information for its new blacklist of companies doing business with West Bank settlements, US State Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters in Washington on Wednesday.

U.S. State Dept. condemns the UNHRC for seeking to ‘blacklist’ Israeli companies

 

Once again the U.S. exposes the UNHRC, calling it biased against Israel, and condemns their resolution calling for a blacklist of businesses operating in Judea and Samaria.

The United States on Wednesday condemned last week’s United Nations Human Rights Council resolution that calls for setting up a blacklist of businesses operating in Judea and Samaria.

Speaking to reporters at his daily briefing and quoted by Reuters, State Department spokesman John Kirby criticized the motion.

UN Ignores Reports of Hezbollah’s Daily Violations on Israel’s Northern Border

 

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, says the UN is giving Hezbollah free pass when 2,374 reports of violations of Israel-Lebanon Security Council resolution 1701 were completely ignored in 2015.

Israel’s border with Lebanon is violated on a daily basis, according to a new report by the Israeli Mission to the United Nations.

The report also shows the degree to which UN resolutions are ignored and even tolerated – despite the presence of United Nations observers. In 2015 alone, there were fully 2,374 documented violations of the most recent UN ruling on the Israel-Lebanon border, UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

The UN envoy for the Middle East peace process on Thursday blasted Israeli “settlements” as being an obstacle to peace.

The envoy, Nickolay Mladenov, made the comments in an address to the Security Council today in which he urged both Israel and the PA to end the long-standing conflict.

United Nations approves Israel’s agriculture resolution despite Arab obstructions

The UN on Friday adopted an Israeli resolution on utilizing agricultural technology for sustainable development, with 124 votes in favor and 37 abstentions.

NGO calls on UN Chief to fire staff members that post photos glorying the death of Jews

UNRWA staff members who post photographs or text glorying the death of Jews and or Israelis on social media should be fired, said the non-governmental group UN Watch on Monday as it released a report detailing such activity.
