Manhattan Rabbi reports NYPD disregarded multiple Mezuzah thefts

 

Rabbi Hertz claims that New York police officers were disrespectful & disregarded his complaint of the stolen mezuzah from his Manhattan home, as hardly being property theft.

Jewish organizations in New York have expressed dissatisfaction that the Manhattan Police did not adequately address the complainant that a mezuzah, a scroll inscribed with religious texts mounted on the doorpost, was stolen from a rabbi’s home.

According to Rabbi Tzvi Herschel Hertz, who resides in Manhattan’s Inwood neighborhood, his home is not the first in the area to have their mezuzah torn off its doorpost. Continue Reading »

Israel’s Foreign Ministry threatened by chronic manpower shortages due to low wages

 

Five diplomatic missions are to be closed as Israel’s Foreign Ministry is in the midst of a severe manpower shortage, primarily due to budgetary shortfalls & low salaries.

The Foreign Ministry Appointments Council on Monday appointed 22 people to 22 different positions in Israeli diplomatic posts around the world. There were only 22 candidates to begin with – one applying to each position.

The rest of the positions are in countries considered “difficult,” such as Ethiopia, India, Peru, Nigeria, Kenya, and Nepal, where their tasks are seen as nearly impossible.

British Report: EU using taxpayers’ money on illegal Palestinian construction, ‘meddling’ in Area C

The European Union has funded the construction of over 1,000 buildings across Area C in Judea and Samaria, giving ownership of them to the Palestinians, the British Daily Mail reported Tuesday.

ONE MORE TIME: Palestinians threatens to take Israel to the ICC

 

Once again the PA Foreign Ministry condemns Israel  from nationalizing the land in the Jordan Valley, calling on international support to sanction Israel.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has denounced Israel’s “extreme” decision to nationalize 2,343 dunams (2.343 square kilometers) of land in the Jordan Valley, saying that it is part of an effort to “spread out” in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.

The statement claimed that the decision indicates Israel’s disregard for the international community’s condemnations and its efforts to prevent any possibility of creating a geographically-viable Palestinian state.

UN chief says Jordan Valley land reclassification is impediment to 2-state solution

 

In a sharply worded statement UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s spokesman remarked on Tuesday that Israel’s reclassification was “an impediment to the 2-state solution.

 

The United Nations called on Israel to rescind its reclassification as state land of 2,342 dunams (578 acres) in the Jordan Valley near the Palestinian city of Jericho.

Jordanian parliament interdicts Israelis from acquiring real estate in Petra

 

The new legislation differentiates between Israelis and all other foreign investor, forbidding only Israelis from buying or renting real estate anywhere in the Petra region.

The Jordanian parliament passed a law prohibiting the sale and rent of real estate in the ancient city of Petra to Israeli citizens, following increasing reports of Israelis buying land in the city, the Jordanian daily al-Rai reported Tuesday.

The law differentiates between Israeli and other foreign investors, banning Israelis from renting or buying real estate in the entire Petra region, while allowing others to invest in land located outside Petra Archeological Park. Continue Reading »

Hezbollah’s TV reports of another Israeli spying device on the border

 

Hezbollah’s TV channel reports finding a spy device with photographic and transmission capabilities near the border, not far from a Lebanese airstrip & army post in the village of Markaba.

Hezbollah’s al-Manar TV station reported on Tuesday that a transmission and photographic spy device was discovered on the Israel-Lebanon border, which the station said belonged to Israel.

Report: Israel Has Clandestine ‘Underground Iron Dome’ That Locates & Collapses Hamas’ Tunnels

 

Being developed by Israel’s Elbit, Rafael & the US Gov’t to the tune of $40 million, al Jazeera reported on a new Israeli system, the “underground Iron dome” which utilizes new technology that brought over half a dozen Gaza tunnel collapses since January.

Arab news channel al Jazeera this week aired a story about the Israeli system it dubbed “underground Iron dome” which utilizes new technology to bring about the string of Gaza tunnel collapses of the past few months. But other than to apply the clever name to it, and to suggest it utilizes “advanced technology,” the report only said that the project is being developed by Elbit, Rafael and the US Government to the tune of $40 million, which is expected to grow to $120 million over the next two years.
