The IDF detected a deep Hamas cross-border tunnel in recent days, stretching from the southern Gaza Strip into Israel. The discovery of the tunnel was kept under a media ban until Monday morning.

The tunnel is 30 meters deep, and was likely dug after the 2014 Operation Protective Edge, according to IDF assessments, though this has not been fully verified. Continue Reading »

IDF raids currency exchange in Ramallah that finances terror 

 

Asserting the business finances terrorists, IDF forces attempt to open store’s safe with explosives, causing a fire in the building.

The IDF raided a currency exchange store in Ramallah on the night between Wednesday and Thursday, apparently in order to confiscate funds used for terrorist purposes. Palestinian sources told Ynet that IDF soldiers attempted to blow a safe in the store open with explosives. The explosion apparently caused a fire to break out in the building. No one was hurt, and Palestinian firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze after the IDF left the area. Continue Reading »

WATCH: IDF considering purchase of battlefield ‘suicide drones’

The Israel Defense Forces is interested in purchasing “suicide drones,” an Israel Aerospace Industries official said on Sunday.

IAI has developed a drone called Rotem (“Juniper”) that is capable of carrying grenades or cameras and can be used by infantry soldiers at the tactical level.

“This is a tool that will change the face of battle at the battalion commander level,” an IAI official said.

As Gulf countries acquire more & more sophisticated weapons, and sanctions relief begins to strengthen the Iranian economy, Jerusalem is concerned that the IDF’s qualitative edge in the region is being diminished.

Israel’s neighbors are buying arms on a scale that threatens its regional military superiority, the deputy Israeli air force chief said on Sunday, in remarks that appeared aimed at helping secure more defense aid from a reluctant Washington.

IDF boosts security along its Egyptian border 

 

IDF battalion commander says soldiers are on high alert for any heavy weaponry or rocket launches, and remain vigilant against attempted abductions.

“‘Breaking the Silence’ has crossed another red line,” PM Netanyahu said after the report was aired on Israel’s TV2, “The investigative security forces are looking into the matter,”  in what appears like espionage activity against the IDF.

Channel 2 news broadcast highly incriminating video evidence Thursday evening filmed with hidden cameras by nationalist group Ad Kan, which shows ultra-leftist group Breaking the Silence engaged in what appears like espionage activity against the IDF.

Israel offers Palestinians full security control over Area A of the West Bank

Chinese general louds cooperation with Israel, says bond is ancient

Ex-Ukrainian ‘child soldier’ moves to Israel, learns Hebrew, joins IDF

 

At age 16, Sergei Brezhnikov, joined the Ukrainian “Children’s Army,” then at 19, he made aliyah, and after studying Hebrew, enlisted in the IDF.  Now, prior to his training as a medic, says “In Israel, I’ll have a better future.”

New academic scholarships awarded to 40 Christian IDF veterans

 

The academic scholarships were awarded to 40 Christians, who either served in Israel’s armed forces or performed national service, as a catalyst to further integrate young Christians into Israeli society.

For never raping Palestinian women, IDF soldiers are smeared as racists

 

Many of those seeking to demonize Israel claim IDF soldiers commit rape, but have yet to provide proof to the courts, and others admit they don’t, and call them ‘racists’…never admitting the IDF to be a moral army.

Israel’s ‘Namer’ APCs with Trophy system rolling into service

A number of Namer armored personnel carriers made over the past two months have been equipped with the Trophy HV active protection system, which destroys anti-tank missiles and rocket-propelled grenades in mid-air, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
