The IDF detected a deep Hamas cross-border tunnel in recent days, stretching from the southern Gaza Strip into Israel. The discovery of the tunnel was kept under a media ban until Monday morning.

The tunnel is 30 meters deep, and was likely dug after the 2014 Operation Protective Edge, according to IDF assessments, though this has not been fully verified. Continue Reading »

IDF raids currency exchange in Ramallah that finances terror 

 

Asserting the business finances terrorists, IDF forces attempt to open store’s safe with explosives, causing a fire in the building.

The IDF raided a currency exchange store in Ramallah on the night between Wednesday and Thursday, apparently in order to confiscate funds used for terrorist purposes. Palestinian sources told Ynet that IDF soldiers attempted to blow a safe in the store open with explosives. The explosion apparently caused a fire to break out in the building. No one was hurt, and Palestinian firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze after the IDF left the area. Continue Reading »

Israel’s neighbors are buying arms on a scale that threatens its regional military superiority, the deputy Israeli air force chief said on Sunday, in remarks that appeared aimed at helping secure more defense aid from a reluctant Washington.

IDF boosts security along its Egyptian border 

 

IDF battalion commander says soldiers are on high alert for any heavy weaponry or rocket launches, and remain vigilant against attempted abductions.

Fearing an Islamic State spillover, Israel in recent months has tightened security along its border with Egypt, due to a two-year campaign by the IS affiliate group in the Sinai Peninsula that has claimed the lives of hundreds of Egyptian police and soldiers.

Israel offers Palestinians full security control over Area A of the West Bank

Secret negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority have taken place in the last few weeks addressing the return of full Palestinian security control over cities in Area A of the West Bank, Haaretz reports.

New academic scholarships awarded to 40 Christian IDF veterans

Many of those seeking to demonize Israel claim IDF soldiers commit rape, but have yet to provide proof to the courts, and others admit they don’t, and call them ‘racists’…never admitting the IDF to be a moral army.

Israel’s ‘Namer’ APCs with Trophy system rolling into service

 

view videoWATCH: Since the Trophy system uses radar to detect & track threats before destroying them in mid-air, the new ‘Namers’ will be able to enter battlegrounds with anti-tank & RPG threats, and safely transport infantry or evacuate the wounded.

 

A number of Namer armored personnel carriers made over the past two months have been equipped with the Trophy HV active protection system, which destroys anti-tank missiles and rocket-propelled grenades in mid-air, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
